  1. Hey, I don't know the process clearly or what dates schools usually get back to you, and I admit I am nervous too. But I really wouldn't be so fatalistic about the end of today. I think there's a distinct possibility various schools send them out the week after Christmas or after New Years. Don't let the fact that you observe a lot of invites here skew your perspective. There's still many more schools/invites to go. I see that you are Social Psychology-- If you look here , you'll find that not many schools have sent out formal, mass emails for interview invitations for social psychology yet.
  2. Just commented on a couple other threads because I was wondering a similar thing. I keep seeing a lot of people receiving emails but it seems a vast majority are clinical. I am trying to remain optimistic. It is unclear to me if social psychology just has a bit later of a timeline.
  3. Anyone know what the timeline is like for social psychology, particularly compared to clinical, for most programs? I am noticing increasingly more people receiving invite emails and POIs reaching out, and I concede, it is making me a bit nervous. I am trying not get disheartened, and I suppose one thing I keep wondering is if a lot of the posts I see are clinical because clinical receives emails first or if it is just because there are more clinical people posting on this forum. Anyone have thoughts? Does social tend to send out emails and invites later, in general?

  5. Thanks. I had initially thought that it was still early in the process and there's a lot of stuff still developing, so no need to panic really. But then I was reading some of the posts here that if invites were not sent out by yesterday, you likely weren't receiving one, and I began to reconsider/reevaluate how much about and how well I knew the timeline. Thanks for the assurances.
  6. Thanks for the update. Even if I am not invited, can't expect to recieve invites from every school! Oh well.
  7. Aw man, I applied to UT Austin. This is the first time I saw someone receive an invite from a school I applied to. I applied to Social though-- Did you receive an email from the department/grad coordinator, or did you receive an email from the PI specifically? Congratulations though, that must be relieving to have heard from a couple.
