  1. I second what Lwc23 said! I work for VIPKid right now while in grad school and it has been perfect! It's completely flexible, so I can decide when I want to teach and when I don't. If a week is too busy, I don't have to teach. The only problem is it's either early mornings or late nights because of the time difference. I'm a morning person so it doesn't bother me. I make about $20 an hour, often more because of incentives. Anyone feel free to message me if you're thinking about applying or have any questions! This is a link you can use to apply: https://t.vipkid.com.cn/mkt/landing/personal?referralToken=8f48acf1178aa890c2e83f9c5d70c460&refereeId=5933101 I also babysit through care.com, which is another great way to make some money and is still somewhat relevant if you're interested in working with children!
  2. I also took it at Ohio State and it was pretty good! One of cheaper options if I remember correctly because that was my goal too. When I was looking, I just googled "online aural rehab summer 2018" or something along those lines and then I just sifted through the results. You also might want to try narrowing the search down to Texas because I know some of the schools have cheaper in-state tuition even for online classes.
  3. Hi guys! I know this is an old post but I wanted to add some input. I just finished my first semester of grad school, and I work for a company called VIPKID where I teach English online to children one-on-one. It's SUPER flexible--I make all of my own hours and can decide whether I want to teach or not teach during a given week. It pays around $18-22 an hour, even more with incentives. It's super fun and all of the lessons are pre-made. I think it's a great job for SLP students who want a job that's somewhat similar to the field, and can even give you experience that I imagine is very similar to telepractice! If you use my link to apply (https://t.vipkid.com.cn/mkt/landing/personal?referralToken=8f48acf1178aa890c2e83f9c5d70c460&refereeId=5933101) I get a little extra money, but I'd love to help anyone who is interested through the application process!!
  4. Still nothing from anyone?? Or should I just assume I didn't get one? It's frustrating because whether or not I received a scholarship would be a giant factor in my decision-making process, and I have a week to decide!
  5. I'm still waiting for UVA too! I'm thinking it's not going to be good news at this point, but I guess we'll find out soon! On the website, it said that they would send out waitlist notifications in the second week of March, but I didn't see anyone post about being waitlisted there yet, so who knows.
  6. I just got an acceptance email too!! I was not expecting to hear back from them so soon! I didn't apply until the day before the deadline.
