  1. Hi! I just went on the Sacred Heart interview on 2/17. We were split up into 3 or 4 groups of about 7 people. There were individual interviews, a group interview, a tour, lunch (provided by the school), and an information Q&A session. Everyone had on either dress pants, blouses, dresses/skirts and tights, and/or blazers. The individual interviews were set up in 6 different stations, each one you were given a question and had two minutes to answer it. This part went by relatively fast! Then my group had a tour, and then the group interview. I wasn't too crazy about the group interview part because I felt that the candidates were speaking over one another, trying to be the one who spoke the most. Basically they just wanted to evaluate how your worked in a group setting and your presentation skills. I think its a great idea for a school to include it, but maybe it was just the other candidates in my group who were acting belligerent. The campus itself is beautiful! And the program sounds amazing! Good Luck!!
  2. I just interviewed at Sacred Heart on 2/17 and it seemed like they were interviewing everyone. I can't say for sure though. They said there would be another round of interviews within the next few weeks! I also applied here thinking it was a good "safety school" but the interview was actually a little intense!
  3. Where are you applying? Molloy College, Hofstra University, LIU Post, Brooklyn College, St. John's University, and Sacred Heart University Where are you from? Long Island, New York What are your concerns? I previously attended Farmingdale State College for two years. While I was here, I pursued prerequisite courses for a physical therapy program, which included anatomy and physiology, chemistry, and biology. Theses courses took a toll on my GPA at Farmingdale State College. When I graduated with my associates in liberal arts and sciences, my GPA was about a 3.5. I then went to Molloy College for 3 years, which was where i completed my coursework in speech pathology, and achieved an overall GPA of 3.91. I am a little nervous that graduate programs will look at my past and see that I had a 3.5 at Farmingdale College. I know my GRE scores are pretty average, but I work and volunteer a lot, so I am hoping this helps! SLP Major Average GPA: 3.93, overall: 3.91 (at current college) previous college: 3.5 GRE: V: 151 Q: 150 A: 4.0
