Still no claims on these Columbia unofficial acceptance posts?

What's the deal with Columbia? From what it seems like, some of the results aren't trolls, and they've been trickling in for about a week. Yet, no one has claimed here, and it seems like at least one GradCafe commenter would have gotten in. Anyone able to claim? The timing of their admits seems just bizarre to me

Although, while we're on the topic of Columbia, has anyone heard from Columbia? Lots of posts popping up now and then on the results page but I don't recall seeing anybody claiming them here.

Yes, I received an email yesterday with an official offer and details on funding. The standard package is $25,000 for five years on top of tuition, etc. I’m also nominated for a school wide funding package, so that could be the reason why I’ve received funding information.

Holy shit I thought I was going to strike out. I'm so freaking happy right now. I actually don't have to go back to Japan now to do PhD work.

Anyone waiting for Columbia? Given the records of 2017 and 2016, it may announce today or tmr.
Plus, what happened to the school's reputation? I heard some of my profs discounted  it (one told me that if I get in both of Columbia anf NYU, I "definitely" should select NYU - fyi, he is not from NYU) which I think a great institution and having prominent faculties such as Jon Elster and Michael Doyle. (I dont want to start a stupid debate on which is better between the two - both are great. NYU is just an example here.)
Furthermore, I see not much of Columbia applicants here. Is it 'unpopular' at least among the cohort of here? If that's the case, why?

Seek professional help. That goes for anyone that is expressing significant depression symptoms, and definitely suicidal thoughts.
Your mental health is way more important than god damn grad school applications.
And that goes for people that have received acceptances as well, trust me, get your mental health in order because grad school will destroy you if you are not of a sound mind. 

Checked the link just now and same with me.  I doubt I would choose it over Michigan anyway but I hate this feeling of being in limbo--and on that note why the uncharacteristic silence from Berkeley?

Yeah I mean if that's the case I would just err on the side of rejection and consider from the long list of acceptances you already have.

Actually, I already had an unofficial letter from it.  I thought Washu was one of my best fit & choices so waited for the result from it but alas, it denied me like many others including Duke, Michigan, UCSD, Wisconsin, and Princeton (plus Northwestern which has not informed me anything until now)
I posted to let others know that NYU are sending official letters out.
And speaking of devil, I also just received the official acceptance from Arizona while I am writing this. It is a good program but I think I would decline it so anyone who's in waitlist can have their chance.
Now I am waiting for Columbia (hopefully within this week) and Yale. I also applied to other schools - out of panic being an "all-reject", more than 15 programs - but since I luckily get into NYU which is one of my top choices, I do not mind even if any other than two reject me or what.

UT Austin PhD acceptances will be coming out this week. A faculty member reached out to me Sunday notifying me of my acceptance. 

I'm not giving up hope yet. Maybe we're rejected, but I think it's a bit premature for those calling it over. This would be the earliest they notified all accepted since the results board started back in 2006.
Maybe it was the quickest year for them in 12 years of applicant tracking, but I think there's a reasonable chance not all have been contacted.

Congrats on the admits! Duke and UCSD are great programs and you should be proud. Also, unless you've gotten a rejection email don't count yourself out for NYU just yet.. you never know.

I'm in the IR field so hopefully, admissions are staggered. You basically have an admits list about the same status as the Avengers so that's always good to have!
