Good morning everyone, fingers crossed for everyone still eagerly waiting for their results!

my guess is that once all documents are uploaded, all 3000+ then the email will go out stating that results are in. I suspect they should have either started uploading earlier or had the same date set to release results or stated what their release strategy was so we had not wasted so much mental energy since Thursday. Good news is we should hopefully know tomorrow. Happy Sunday everyone!

So has anyone NOT received results besides me? Feeling so lonely  ???

For those still waiting, I did some clicking around in the extranet and it's sharepoint based and it looks like each person's files are being uploaded individually by a specific, real human being to individual folders for each applicant rather than being done in a big batch or through an automated system. It also looks like there is an applicant number (different from application number or committee number) attached to each person that might be part of how logins and results are being ordered.

It's definitely worth it to have it paid to a Canadian account and then move it as you need it. For reference, if I wire money from the US to a Canadian USD account, then convert it, I always get a better exchange rate. But there are tax forms and such involved with moving more than 10k to the US at a time. Also things to consider for direct applicants abroad. 

My university just emailed to say I got the CGS-D Bombardier. I got waitlisted last year and am completely shocked/thrilled and will probably spend the next few hours sobbing with relief. My university is cutting some funding programs so was anticipating some very lean years otherwise or possibly having to drop out for a while.

Can I also say - THANKS to everyone for being paranoid and obsessed and stressed with this with me. I saw someone on twitter say something about how they checked the website "on a whim" and was surprised to have one and I was so filled with rage HAHA. No one checked the website ON A WHIM!!!!!! Come on. LOL.

waiting for sshrc in a pandemic: a thread.

Same! Just got the CGS-D!! Notified about 5 minutes ago on the Extranet and no email! I am at a Quebec institution and got my login mid-afternoon yesterday. Hang in there everyone! This is a wild ride. I got rejected from the FRQSC just about an hour ago and thought that this was it, no way I would get SSHRC. There is truly no way of predicting this, so don't get too focused on the timing, my impression is that really there is no way of knowing.

okay folks, I did not receive an email but I also tried to log into extranet and selected the forget password option. It did recognize the email that I applied with and it generated a password for me. I put in all the info and I got back an error message. I tried again and did manage to log into my portal. There were no documents though.

Funding or not, this is impressive. You're a winner in my books? 

Ok but BRIGHTSIDE: we don’t have to wait for snail mail. ?
