  1. Hello Limbsun! Nice to hear someone who will attend the MGA program this fall!Congratulations to you too. I come from Italy! Is it ok for you to chat a little bit about the school in PM? I would like to exchange some opinions with you about the school and ask you some info!
  2. Yeah I read about the MGA/MBA dual degree opportunity on Munk's website. It would be a good idea if it didn't cost so much. The problem is that I would to pay the Munk's tuition for the first year ($36,000) and the Rotman's tuition for the last two years ($109,960). This means that at the end I would have to pay a total tuition fee of $145,000. Way more that some of the most expensive american IR school's, like SAIS or SIPA. It is important to bear in mind also that Rotman's MBA is not even amongst the top 20 MBA school in the world according to basically all rankings (Qs, FT, etc.)
  3. Thanks! So do you think Munk School will give me more job opportunities that Johns Hopkins SAIS? I know that it's very difficult to get an H1B Visa, but I thought SAIS places well students in think-tanks (Brookings, Peterson Institute, etc.) and international organizations.
  4. Hi guys, I have been accepted to the MA program at Johns Hopkins SAIS, the MIA program at UCSD School of Global Policy and Strategy and the MGA program at Munk School of Global Affairs. I have read tons of info about these programs and I have attended the Open House events at SAIS and UCSD. However, I am still undecided. What do you think is the best program in terms of employability and education considering that I am an international student who wants to find a job in North America? My area of specialization is international economics and I would like to work in consulting/think-tanks/business/banks. Thanks!!
  5. Hi guys! I have just been accepted to the MGA program off the waitlist!! I am still deciding between UoT, UCSD School of Global Policy and Strategy and Johns Hopkins SAIS. Considering that I am an international student, do you think I would have more opportunities to find an employment in Canada than in the USA? I would like to work in the consulting/financial/economic sectors and I know that SAIS has a lot of connections in that field. I do not know so much about Munk. Thanks
  6. Hello guys, I have just been accepted to the MIA program, though without funding. How do you evaluate this program in terms of employability? I tried to look on the LKY School website, but as the program started just last year, there are no yet information available. I ask you this since I have also been accepted to the MA program at Johns Hopkins SAIS, the MIA program at UC San Diego GPS and the MIA program at Elliott School of International affairs and I am still undecided about what institution I should choose for an international relations career with an Asian perspective.
  7. Hello guys, I have been accepted to the MA program at Johns Hopkins SAIS, the MIA program at Elliott School of International Affairs and the MIA program at UC San Diego School of Global Policy and Strategy. As I would like to pursue a career in international economics, with a regional focus on Japan, which one of these institutions offers best job opportunities and preparation?
  8. I have just noticed they sent me a separate email about my Financial Aid status. Unfortunately, they have not been able to offer me a scholarship.
  9. Hello guys, I've just received an offer of admission from John Hopkins SAIS for the MA, although without any mention of Financial Aid. Is there someone else who received an admission offer from them?
