  1. Which of the two schools has a stronger energy program/ concentration?
  2. You should absolutely list all the programs. Graduate programs want to see that you are a high level applicant that is considering multiple programs. Additionally, it puts further pressure on the program to recruit you, the best and the brightest, against other competing programs.
  3. Does anyone have any knowledge as to what the student and academic culture is like in these programs? For example are some programs more well known to be incredibly academically taxing and rigorous i.e U of Chicago undergrad while others are more collaborative and social? I am hoping to avoid a situation in which I am inundated with readings and effectively drowned in coursework and am miserable. Any comments and or opinions would be greatly appreciated. For reference, I plan to pursue a geographic concentration in Latin America with a thematic concentration in International security policy or international finance or economics.
  4. I am also interested in the two additional factors of 1. Student body vibe 2. Rigor/ intensity of the program
  5. Hi I was curious which of the following is the most and least selective in order: hks, sais, sipa, msfs, wws, fletcher. I understand that all the schools are absolutely fantastic, however, was curious which ones are known to be harder to get into
  6. This is a great thread ! Besides saving money what would be an advantage of the sipa- sciences po program over Sipa's regular program? Would sciences po offer opportunities not afforded by sipa?
  7. Thanks very much!! I notice you are from Atlanta! I did my undergrad down there at Emory
  8. Hi everyone, I was wondering which IR programs ( HKS, WWS, SAIS, SIPA, Fletcher, MSFS) and others consider an applicants highest scores in the Quantitative and Verbal GRE sections. I realize that programs will not allow an applicant to take their highest Quantitative and Verbal scores and lump them together. Additionally, are there some programs which mandate that applicants must submit all GRE test records? Finally out of the above programs listed which program places the most emphasis on a high GRE score?
