Same Here. I truly care less now that I know how long ago interviews were sent out. It's more of an "about time" feeling at this point!

Yes. 10000 times yes. first my parents tried to talk me out of a career that required a PhD, now they're pushing me to jump straight from undergrad into grad school. I had to find my voice quickly and really stick to my guns and what I want out of life.

Okay I am starting to get pretty irritated. I applied to 7 schools, got officially rejected from one and have heard nothing from the rest of them. It has been radio silence. I spent over $900 this season and these schools can't even provide me with a standardized rejection letter? I even emailed to check in on the status of my application and never received a response. I know I wasn't mean or anything in my email, I was very respectful and straight forward, so it can't be that. I don't know whats going on but it has really rubbed me the wrong way

Anyone hear from CU Anschutz??? I emailed the woman in admissions for a status update, but never heard back

I LOVE my To-Go Weekly Planner. Its small, simple, inexpensive (I spill a lot of coffee), and has different day layouts based on how you prefer to view your week!

I would very much like to go into industry as well, even after my PhD. I guess part of my hesitation is that I now have to tell my mentors that I did not get into my schools. I've had a lot of failures in life, but they're not usually associated with my work. I assume this is a hump that a lot of us have to get over at this point in time, but boy was I not ready for it lol. It helps to know I'm not the only one!

This is what I needed to hear. I worked very hard through undergrad to try and avoid taking time before my grad program, but it seems like I can't avoid it now

What have you done in the years in between?? I get the feeling I'm about to be in the same boat soon and don't know if I should commit to a 2 year post-bac or try working for a year

SO CU Anschutz sent me an email December 3rd saying they would be reviewing applications mid-December and I would be contacted after that if I receive an interview. I emailed them a few days ago to ask about my status and received an automated reply that their respondent would be back in the office today. I still haven't heard anything and really want to send a follow up email, but I kind of feel like I should wait...

Is UPenn done?? I haven't gotten any interviews or rejections yet from any of my 6 schools ?

So.... I applied to PhD programs in Neuroscience this year and have not heard back from any schools yet. I have the sinking feeling I will not receive any interviews. Maybe something will come through last minute, but I cannot be sure. I have previously interned at NIH and would probably apply to their Post-Bac program. So now the thing is, I don't know how soon to give up hope of hearing back from my graduate programs and to pursue the Post-Bac program. I live far from DC so moving and housing is a big issue.

Don't check GradCafe so often. Which I am not following at all. I come on here over 3 times a day to panic. I am having a terrible time

Email half of my schools to ask about my application status even though I knew they'd only send me a generic answer
