  1. Yesterday, BC emailed the admitted class apologizing for the early deadlines they had incorrectly set with its acceptance (Feb 18 for me and then only extending the deadline to March 4). Citing the CGS Resolution, they said the earliest they can actually impose a deadline on their decision is April 15! I want to go ahead and just share with y'all the link to this resolution because I know there are quite a few colleges violating this resolution and not giving us enough time to thoughtfully make a decision with all of our offers at hand.
  2. Anyone else dealing with early admissions deadlines? Boston College gave me a February 18 deadline with my acceptance, and I am just really unsure. Probably going to ask for an extension.
  3. Anyone else who got accepted got the really early February 18 deadline? Is anyone going to ask for an extension? BC has been the most generous package so far but the deadline is suspiciously early...
  4. I haven't received anything in the mail yet, but they had my financial aid offer attached to the acceptance. Their package has been the most generous so far.
  5. Thanks! Sorry, top 10 meaning top 10 university. They contacted me about my interest in the program and potential funding opportunities.
  6. I got my acceptance on Monday! (applied Dec 1)
  7. Not advanced standing, just the regular full-time. They contacted me. Sure! I believe I applied mid-December. I've done AmeriCorps in-state for a couple years after graduating with a 3.4 gpa from a top 10.
  8. I got my official acceptance today, but I heard from Admissions two weeks ago that I had pretty much got in. No financial package yet.
  9. I got accepted a couple of weeks ago to the full-time washington square campus, but the financial package is definitely weaker than what I would need to rationalize going living in NYC. I believe it was around $17K on top of AmeriCorps award.
