The start of another week... I am so hoping for some good news this week for all of us! If you're feeling frustrated, down on yourself, swirling in self-doubt, and constantly wondering if you're "good enough" - you're not alone.

+++ This is only my personal opinion +++
After being through a couple cycles and receiving an offer this round I found the most helpful thing was building a relationship with my potential supervisor.  IF there is someone you are interested in working with who is in your geographic area and you are able to volunteer/work as an RA or possibly a research coordinator and build a strong working (and personal) relationship with them it will greatly increase the likelihood of them taking you on as a student vs. an outside person who they speak with for a couple of hours (max).  This might be obvious and it is anecdotal (worked for me) but I think it is worth consideration.  Obviously GPA, GRE, pubs/presentations should be stressed as well
Hope this helps a little bit!

Sending warmth and positive vibes to everyone who has been going through this process! This was my second round of applications and while I am so grateful and excited about my acceptance this year, I know how incredibly painful a process it can be  Congratulations to those who have received their acceptances, and to those who may be waiting or will be applying again next year, I'm sending strength your way!! Keep your hopes up!! It's not over until it's over

I am also waiting to hear from both! I posted before but Ottawa is usually later in the game according to my POI, he says that professors don't even get the list of students that applied to their lab until February. And even then, apparently ranking is really important. If you rated your professor as 2nd or even 3rd, it is unlikely they they will see your application. You get maximum points if the ratings match - so if you are your POI's first choice and they are also your first choice. Hope this helps!

I had my interview for McGill on Friday. It’s POI dependent and I believe still ongoing.

Welcome! I think a few people here have heard from McGill Clinical regarding interviews and acceptances, but apparently they are still ongoing.
I personally haven’t heard from UOttawa yet or seen anything in the Survey Results page except a few rejections from the UOzone account.
