  1. Thank you! Was that a tuition remission scholarship? I haven't see any stipulations yet from BC with regards to mine. Also wondering if anyone knows about UChicago--if you accept their offer of admissions, you also are acknowledging that you haven't made a deposit or enrollment commitment at another school. Was wondering if they're flexible on this, or if there's any way for them to tell if I put down multiple?
  2. Was wondering about putting down multiple deposits at schools. My partner is applying to law schools and is still waiting to hear back from some, and likely will hear back after I will have to commit to a school. Is it ok to put down deposits at multiple schools? Obviously I would lose that deposit if I chose not to attend that school, but wanted to make sure there wasn't some overall institutional policy that prevents me from doing this. Thanks in advance!
  3. Yes, but like a day later--so I was told by ben on monday, and got the official notice via application portal yesterday. Good luck! @honeynut Thank you, it's okay! Best of luck to you !
  4. Hi! How tf do I get schools to give me more money (i.e. reevaluate my financial aid and scholarships given)? Like who do I contact, how do I go about it? Do I email a school and say "Hi, you gave me ___ but this other school is giving me____ so could I have more?" lol. I am specifically trying to get more money from UMich and Columbia, but would love to hear anyone's advice/experience from literally any program.
  5. I would call them or email ben balderas--i called on monday and a lady told me they'd had technical troubles at the overarching grad school, and to email him. he got back to me and told me i'd been rejected (which i was kinda surprised by but i'll be ok) the same day.
  6. lol, watch them email at like 11:59 PM
  7. @honeynut I totally understand lol--hoping we hear back earlier than next Friday. Good luck to you too
  8. lol you're totally fine!! i went to UNC for undergrad and they are generally super last minute when it comes to administrative stuff. like they said for my undergrad acceptance they'd tell us in the month of january, and literally notified us jan 31st haha. it's super annoying and frustrating to deal with, but i don't think it means anything in terms of your application! I applied like december 11th and also haven't heard anything
  9. Just got an email notification!! I applied for the 2 year program on Jan 15th
  10. Has anyone heard anything about the Child Welfare Scholarship? I applied back in December but haven't heard anything. Would really need the $$ to make UMich more of an option lol
