  1. Denied--congrats to everyone who got in. It was super competitive this year!
  2. Was your UNC application portal updated around the same time with your decision too?
  3. When did they send you a decision?
  4. Well, it's officially 5 and no emails in sight...
  5. So vague! Well, sending good thoughts to everyone!
  6. Undergrad major was History and Islamic Studies with a 3.5 GPA from a small liberal arts school. I had multiple internships throughout undergrad, most notably in a refugee housing center overseas. Graduated in 2017 and have worked in Operations for almost 2 years for a mid-size philanthropy that works across multiple issue areas. Lots of exposure to Criminal Justice field through this.
  7. Just bumping this back up in the hopes that someone has advice--anyone else get waitlisted? Any advice for waitlisted candidates?
  8. I hope it's not rejections! It's been a real mixed bag in how they've been sending out decisions. I'm trying to keep the faith! Maybe calling wouldn't hurt--if you do, let us know!
  9. I was a History Major in undergrad, but interned in a Refugee Center overseas and volunteer regularly at a Women's Multi-service center in DC. GPA was 3.47. Still hoping for the best!
  10. Still waiting to hear back--applied on 12/1 for full time!
  11. Hi all! I got waitlisted at UChicago and am still holding out hope. I got in to UPenn and am still waiting to hear back from UNC. Any advice or stories about waitlisted candidates at UChicago? When do they usually get back to those students regarding a final decision?
  12. Applied on Dec. 1 and haven't heard back yet! Hopeful to hear back soon. Got accepted to UPenn, but really holding out for UNC!
  13. Thats amazing--congratulations!!! I am doing my interview tomorrow, so please cross your fingers for me.
  14. Got it! That is what I thought it might be. I remember seeing somewhere that all qualified applicants would hear back re: an admissions interview. Good to know that they asked you about certain weaknesses and the expected turn around. I just want to make sure I'm not *too* blindsided by any questions.
