I applied by the Feb 1 deadline, so it's just short of 6 weeks. I'm surprised how much slower they are at responding compared to the schools that I would consider equivalent institutions!

Finally, a new blog post (I've been a crazy with the refresh button these days). "Hard at work" still and decisions will be released in late March. So, we wait. And my trigger finger on the mouse can rest a bit, at least!

Thanks, congrats to you too! It lists 2 semesters and I was admitted full-time. Interesting point though; I wonder if it is renewable. I'll ask tomorrow

I just looked through my email. I don't recall receiving it 2 years ago when I applied and was rejected, but turns out I did. So, guess it's just what it is! I think the statement about the blog not being updated with the usual pre-decision release posts is pretty valid, but it is strange that he hasn't been updating it as much as prior years, right? Harvard is going to Harvard is so right.

Check the portal. Just got updated with a result. Another waitlist decision for me, booo. Anyone know anything about the odds of getting admitted from the WL, or any tips for success as a waitlisted person?

Just received my email -- it also went to my Gmail promotions box, FYI Waitlisted. A little surprised, but yeah, a rough year. To those of you also WL'd -- I'm a glutten for academic punishment I guess and have actually already attended law school and have been out many years. I applied for admission to the Fall '09 term, which to this day is still the most competitive year of LS ever thanks to the '08 crash. Lots of people were waitlisted and got off the waitlist at many placed (myself included!). Things just need to shake out and the schools don't entirely know how to adjust give the increase in applications. TL;DR: It's not over 'til it's over! Good luck!

I have sort of been avoiding this forum because it makes me a little nervous, so this is actually my first look at what's going on over here. I just laughed out loud when I saw that others are talking about this magazine!!! I texted a photo of it to my friend yesterday when I received it -- "Think this is a good sign?" Who knows. I will say that I actually applied to HKS 2 years ago and never got this magazine. Could just be a new offering? I don't want to read into it but I wish I could!! FWIW, I also got the email about the educational fellowship and am not interested in education policy nor made any reference to it in my application. Should be any day now -- good luck, everyone!!

Yeah, they said we will start receiving this information as of Monday through the end of the month. Seems a bit delayed, if you ask me, but they're also my first response, so... I guess I'll cut them a little slack.

Does anyone have any insight/thoughts on the MPA at Syracuse Maxwell? It sounds like it's highly ranked because of the amount of research that comes out of the school, but I wonder how much that really influences the students in the MPA itself. I imagine it's not as desirable a program to many on this chain given the location, and it's probably considered a more regional institution (which, as a NYer doesn't especially bother me necessarily). Anyone have any further thoughts on it? Any insider info to be aware of?

This is basically what happened to me yesterday -- went right back to "submitted" and has stayed there. Also don't know what to make of it, but very glad I'm not alone!

Congratulations! I wonder why mine is all over the place. Not a good sign for me, perhaps, ugh. Did you get a phone call from admissions too? Are you the new addition to the results page? I saw another addition on the results page yesterday (search for "Virginia") that said they received a Zoom call and that financial aid should be posted on Friday with official results. Can't say for certain how accurate that is from my vantage point
