I have also applied to PhD programs with a focus on immunology. I applied to a total of 12 programs, got one acceptance from the Ohio State University (umbrella program) and interview from Mayo clinic (IMM program). No communication from the remaining programs. I am also an international student but my undergraduate education was in the U.S. undergrad GPA: 3.67 3 strong LORs 1 second author publication. 1.5 years research experience in a cancer lab. Did not submit GRE scores. Hoping to hear from more schools soon ?

I would still send out an email to the professor. If you have already spoken to him about submitting a letter, a polite reminder should be fine. The sooner you send it today, the higher his chances of seeing the email. I am not sure about late submissions though. Hope this helps! -
In response to when Americans start working again, normal work hours resume on the 26th. However, people do tend to take more days off and that maybe why admission processing gets delayed.

Is it wise to email PhD Programs to inquire if they are done sending out invites? More specifically for biomedical sciences PhD programs. I am an international student and have only heard back from one of the 11 programs i have applied to. ?

Hi flippase, Thanks for replying! good to know that someone else is wondering the same. Out of the 11 schools I have applied to, I have gotten an interview from the mayo clinic. No rejections or interviews from the rest..

Hi, I have applied for admission to biomedical sciences graduate programs (PhD) and was wondering if international students are notified about interviews in the same cycle as domestic students? Or do schools send out interview invites for domestic students first. Thanks!
