  1. My VCU rejection (dated April 1st) came on April 3rd by snail mail. Just letting you know.
  2. If all my decisions could come at once I’d appreciate it. I’m probably being rejected from V Tech, Texas, Rutgers, and Florida. UNO isn’t better than New Hampshire. So I’m really just waiting on Maryland, my top school, that my recommenders and I love. I’ve decided I hate notification season more than application or limbo season.
  3. Hey, if you guys ever have questions about applying next year, I’m probably going to do what @feralgrad does and pop up randomly next cycle to see how everyone is doing. This is my second cycle, and I have tips. Arguably too many tips due to excessive research and asking a lot of people a lot of questions.
  4. My impatience went away for a bit, but now it’s back. I just want to know where I’m going and what the funding situation is.
  5. Some schools send out notifications away later than that, especially if they’re under pressure to get replies out soon.
  6. I also have auditory and olfactory hallucinations when my meds don’t work, so who knows how fucked up weed would make me. At least I don’t hallucinate tastes.
  7. If only I could. Weed would fuck up my schizooaffective disorder. I don’t need to feel/see centipedes crawling up my legs. I’m fine without that.
  8. Is everyone except me high???
  9. Hey, if you all want, I can share (via google) my spreadsheet that I used to keep track of all the colleges I wanted to apply to. A sample of things on the spreadsheets include: Deadlines, professors I’d want to work with, local apartments costs compared to stipends, SOP requirements, manuscript requirements. All that jazz. If anyone wants it, DM me and I’ll send you the link.
  10. Suddenly you’ve become inspirational? I’ve got to say, I’m never bored talking to you despite all your fluctuations. Take that as a compliment, you aren’t boring and sometimes you’ve got good shit to say.
  11. Y’ALL I’M AT 666 LIKES. HELL YEAH LET’S GOOOOOOOO!
  12. Whoops, my bad. I’ve been calling you he, they, and she this whole time.
  13. I’ve been trying to DM you since three accounts ago. You just keep getting banned before I can ask questions. I’m sure you’re interesting, just a little angry. Let’s talk.
  14. Hey, how’s it going? What schools did you apply to again?
  15. Update on UNH housing situation, they have some graduate housing, so if I don’t get in anywhere else, I’ll be heading to New Hampshire.
  16. C’MON SHRIMPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP
  17. There’s a lot a places that are available, but none at a reasonable rate on any website. It’s frustrating as hell.
  18. I take it back. I’m waiting for a call from the housing people at UNH right now and graduate housing might be an option depending on an individual’s situation.
  19. I did manage to land a full tuition scholarship, and I desperately need to leave the state, but finding housing sounds like a nightmare because on campus grad housing isn’t a thing right now.
  20. I’m glad I got the go ahead ?
  21. Honestly, I feel like this is a question on a lot of people’s minds right now. Especially mine. I don’t know what the future of funding at schools is gonna be like, or if the schools are going to have more incoming class size cuts. I really really hope New Hampshire can come through with the TA-ship.
  22. You make it sound really pleasant haha. For me, I feel like I’m Dr. Frankenstein, ripping limbs off of Barbie dolls and combining them to form a monstrosity that’s strangely beautiful.
  23. Honestly, that was me for months up until yesterday. Somehow I mustered up the energy to reinvent an old poem. I think it went well.
  24. ? Thank you. Is there a particular book that Rosebud Ben-Oni’s sonnets are in?
  25. I’m glad. Writing science poetry feels like a very niche market, and to know someone actually likes the idea brings me joy.
