Are you an international student?

No regrets here. I just regretted not applying to full funded programs in addition to the ones I already had. But still a MFA is worth it for all of my art friends I have met so far.

From the website at https://www.saic.edu/admissions/graduate/scholarships-grants#MeritScholarships "Recipients are selected through a holistic review of each student's academic history, portfolio, and statement of intent. If awarded, students will be notified by a separate letter in their admission packet." So it's a separate notification.

Not yet and looks like they are sorting things out here atm. I only got an admissions letter but no mention of any merit based scholarships so no clue whether they come separately or I didn't get anything atm.

I agree with you here This is my first time too and I applied straight from my BFA (pending) to grad school. Hope that I land well this round!

OMG, had a total blast with my Calarts interview for Art and Tech. Just chill, lots of humor, and crazy amount of art/cultural fun... etc. In any case I'm taking a break now after two interviews in a day.

From their viewpoint not necessarily as they have a limited number of spots to open up to the public. But that's from their take... considering that an offer costs them time and money.

Just finished my ArtCenter interview and it was concise and fun. On to Calarts later on this afternoon

Applied to Columbia not Tyler printmaking and that was a no go. Good luck!

Got my first graduate school acceptance email today for SAIC photo!

I didn't tell them who I was but I mentioned that I was an applicant and that I haven't gotten any email notification from them but got other schools. I asked if they had sent the email for interviews but the person in the office said that it wouldn't be until mid March until we would hear back. I am in photo as a backup so we will see. But of course, I will wait and see.

Well guys! I just called up Columbia Visual Arts and it looks like the first round of interviews already have been completed for printmaking (and others I assume). If you didn't hear from them then you were rejected. Final admission e-mails will be sent out late March. In any case, now that leaves UCLA which I need to call up now.

I applied to UCLA New Genres and haven't heard either.

I applied for Columbia printmaking but haven't heard back yet. (Heard through the grapevine that the only full ride tuition scholarship for there is given to a printmaking major only.)

Nope just your usual visual arts MFA I don't know about graphic design.

My interview with ArtCenter will be on this Friday.

Nice... yeah in some ways I am not surprised that Yale rejected me since I already have my MPH from there before. I don't think that institutions like the idea of having a person in one place too long LoL. I have a thriving studio practice in fact. I just sold a painting with a NFT at XVERSO so I know that it's worth doing this!
