Made an account to tell you guys that I received an interview invite from Virginia Tech (VT-PREP) yesterday!

Some one I know that has done Yale Prep told me she didn't interview until like mid April. I guess let's just give it time, I'm waiting for them too.

To all applicants: As a current PREP Scholar on the MD/PhD track, like my buddy MediumTwoTopping, his note raises a super important point. A lot of PREP programs advertise to PhD and MD/PhD students, however, most programs strive to fill their spots with viable PhD interested candidates. Your PREP application needs to be incredibly strong from your grades, to meaningful past research, to demonstrate promise for successful matriculation to an MSTP program. Direct message me if anyone has any questions.

Any updates from Yale?

Don't worry about that. If you are doing PREP towards an MD/PhD, a not-so-good MCAT is not going to keep you from getting into PREP as they can help you to retake it and get a better score.

Hi All.
I have accepted a position at the NIAID at NIH and I will be doing my post-baccalaureate research position at the Vaccine Research Center. I wish you all the best during this process and I hope you all stay safe during this times. 
As for Hopkins I actually called the director of Hopkins PREP directly because I was running out of time before my offer from NIH expires. I was advised directly from the director to accept the offer from NIH and told me that I was not on the list of applicants being considered for their PREP and states that this is partly due to me wanting to do MD/PhD and since PREP is focus on PhD I was not able to make it to the list. I trust the director so much and so I decided to accept the NIH offer. To give you an insight as well, they received about 200 applicants and they are only accepting 6-7 PREP. Anyways if you have any questions please let me know. PM me anytime.

Nobody has heard from Hopkins? Thought they were sending off their interview offers last week. Tempted to cross them off my list ?
Congratulations to everybody who has heard back from someone. COVID-19 has taken the world by surprise, so don't over-stress if programs delay their admission process. I have a friend that received 3 emails from PhD admissions asking for longer waiting periods due to telecommuting. Is much harder to rally the whole committees when everybody is getting sick and self-isolating.

Yeah, I haven’t heard anything from Hopkins either. Their application receipt email says that they notify before March 20th tho, but with this coronavirus situation we never know the delays each institution is dealing with.

Ive also applied to a bunch of PREP programs this year (Brown, Yale, Hopkins, Indiana, Einstein, and OHSU).
I'm wondering if anyone has heard anything from any of those schools and whether admissions are being delayed due to the coronavirus!? I'm constantly refreshing my emails for some information ?

Agreed. As a current PREP, I can say my experience as an scholar has helped me a lot to grow as a scientist and get ready for grad school. I wouldn't change it for the world. 
About to start grad school this upcoming fall 2020. I am also willing to answer any questions about PREP in general and grad school applications. 

Called Mayo today. I was told that they have been sending invitations for the early applicants, and they hope to wrap up their last appointments by next week. I was told that is highly unlikely to get an invitation now if we haven't heard from them already. Maybe time to cross that one out??
