Message from Angela (admin at UofT) regarding the 2 year program: "We anticipate MSW applications will be moved to under review by the end of January.  Decisions will be out by mid-April."

Just got off the waiting list for UofT on Friday. Was definitely shocked to say the least... I will be accepting my offer. Fingers crossed for anyone still waiting!

Hi everyone, I am looking into non BSW MSW programs in TO or exclusively online. So far I have U of T's 2 year program, Laurier online, and Windsor MSWwp online. Any other school/programs I  should look into...Thanks!

Has anyone received an offer of admission after being put on the waitlist for UofT?

Hi folks! Long time no chat  
After being placed on the waitlist for UofT's two-year program, I received an offer of admission yesterday. Last initial L. My fingers are crossed for each of you as they roll through the waitlist! 

Does anyone know when people started to get pulled off the waitlist for U of T's 2-year MSW in past years? And has anyone heard anything so far this year?

I haven't heard anything yet. I know someone on this forum was suspecting maybe we'd start to hear back mid-May since those who got offered acceptances have until early-May to either accept or decline. 

Anything from u of t waitlist yet??

Yes. This has been really hard. And after being waitlisted last year and seeing little to no movement from the waitlist AND how many people are waitlisted this year it's just so discouraging.

Still haven't heard from UofT, really hard not having any closure going into the weekend...preparing myself for a rejection. Going to be a tough weekend

I haven't heard anything, last name O. This level of disorganization is killing me! Really don't want to go into the weekend wondering and hoping...

We should assume all acceptances have been sent out then?  

It's strange that we've only heard about acceptances and rejections so far, not waitlists.

Just wanted to provide some information. Last name M. Domestic student. Got an email from SGS to check status as 11:29am. It was a rejection... Their document did say that there were 890 applicants this year with 140 spots available.

I got my acceptance email at 4:15 from u of T, my last name initial is E!!

I think all of our frustrations and emotions are valid right now considering the unexpected changes in timelines for results compared to last year. We should keep this a safe space to vent for people who need it. 

My last name is B just got accepted 20 mins ago to UofT. Goodluck everyone

OH MY GOODNESS! IT TOOK ME A LONG TIME TO OPEN IT BECAUSE I WAS SHAKING BUT I GOT IN TO UOFT!!!!! ????
