  1. AU offered some funding, GW offered none. Not super sure about career goals at the moment (most prior experience is as a teaching assistant for undergrad/grad classes and research assistantships) I plan on staying in DC as I am from the area. Was really counting on Admitted Students Day to make my decision. Any advice?!
  2. I got admitted into American's SIS program (with a pretty generous stipend + graduate assistantship) as well as the GW's Elliott School with no word of funding/financial aid thus far. I really want to try negotiating with GW - does anyone have experience on this? Should I email them or call? I'm also on the waitlist for a similarly ranked school. Would be happy to provide any extra info via PM.
  3. I'm on the waitlist for SAIS. If Masters admissions are anything like law school, it's customary to send a letter of continued interest to admissions. If you have any updates on grades (if you're still in school), recent awards, accomplishments, etc., you can list it - all while reiterating your interest in the program. I'm probably going to send mine in sometime this coming week.
  4. Question for people considering or applying to McCourt - I have gotten into every International Affairs program I've applied to thus far but (surprisingly) got denied from MSFS (surprising for a number of reasons I'd be happy to discuss over PM). Considering sending in an application for McCourt but I didn't take the GRE so I'd be applying with an LSAT and not much quant training (minus an Econ fellowship). Any advice - worth applying?
  5. I also found out I got in on Friday. If we haven't received an email about it, are we to assume we didn't get funding? I applied by the priority deadline as well.
