  1. This app has been one of the only things stopping me from constantly checking application portals.
  2. That's what I'm focusing on. I applied to 8 and I think 6 of them are reach schools, one safety, and one realistic. I just need one school to give me an offer + funding. I'm worried about some schools I applied to having double the number of applicants but I have made peace with my choice of schools and number of applications.
  3. Thanks for clarifying!
  4. the only madison interview results posting on there is already claiming an admission, which I would think is early given the number of applicants and the COVID environment -- so I wonder if its spam.
  5. I think a lot of people are lurking and not posting (just based on the number of views for various threads, even accounting for duplicates).
  6. I remember from the Berkeley webinar that they'd said they would release admissions around the same time this year. Not sure about other schools, but correct me if I'm wrong!
  7. I am honestly not stressing too much about it. With all being said and done, applications are already in, and I personally felt weird asking my recommenders to send in letters to 10-12 schools (where I might not fit well) when I only had the same three (my undergrad dept. was reallyyy small).
  8. I've been wondering if I should apply to some MAs like CIR this year as well given that my master's degree is policy oriented, but I decided not to stress about it.
  9. I will be in the corner stressing out about this for the next three months. All jokes aside, I agree with others in this thread that the amount of competitive applications may not have doubled, even with drastic increases in applications this year. My best advice is to have two to three backup plans just in case, especially given the uncertainty of the pandemic.
  10. Does anyone have a sense of whether or not admissions decision releases will be affected by COVID this cycle? I noticed from the last two years' worth of results data that a lot of decisions cluster in February, latest mid-March for American schools, but not sure with the pandemic and such hampering that timeline.
  11. I applied to 8 and the stress is killing me.
  12. Hey guys, I've been a bit stressed out as I'm submitting apps so I wanted to get a rough idea of where I'm likely to be accepted at this time. Institution: Undergrad at a Midwest private school, finished in 3 years (3.99 CGPA / 4.00 major GPA) | current master's student in extremely selective fellowship (think Rhodes, Knight-Hennessy) (No GPA yet) Major: Individualized Conflict Resolution Major LOR: Two profs who graduated from top 20 schools (including ones I am applying to) and another recently retired prof GRE: No GRE this year due to pandemic constraints. I am only applying to GRE-optional schools. Research Experience: 6 research presentations including one as conference keynote speaker, one is upcoming this year and two include LOR as advisor. 2 publications in school's undergraduate journal (non-peer reviewed). wrote an honors thesis (which is one of the publications). As part of master's, pursuing research with top-80 global think tanks on global governance. SOP: emphasizes mixed-methods research and builds on work from honors thesis. 13. I was going to apply to 13, then got whittled down to 10, then cut out 2 programs because of fit. This just stressed me out haha.
