    Congrats to everyone who’s gotten in the last few weeks! Does anyone know where Western is on the waitlist? Have they made it to the 2nd quadrant?

    Thanks for your reply, sorry to hear that you didn’t get in either interesting about the reason as they included basically that same info in my letter, but I don’t have a prerequisite in progress nor am I taking any other classes. My guess is that they used the wrong template in whatever program they use to generate the letters.

    Do you mean the same thing that you got rejected or an error in your letter? interesting if it’s the latter. Did the letter have your name on it?

    Just got my letter from U of A-I’ve been rejected. I’m so disappointed. Side note, but the letter had an error and mentioned a prerequisite I don’t recognize. I’ve asked for a corrected one.

    Congratulations on getting into those schools ? I realize that this is no longer super relevant to you, but did you consider applying to Western? Based on other posts and talking to previous students, it seems like UofT and Mac greatly value sGPA over everything else. Mac you need usually at least a 3.8+ to have a chance and at UofT at least a 3.7+ WITH research and volunteer experience. Western appears willing to take students with ~3.5 sGPA with good references, SOI, and experiences. There are people within this and previous threads that have super high sGPAs and got into UofT/Mac but rejected at Western and if my memory serves me correctly they were usually people with less extensive volunteer experiences.

    Waitlisted at Western for the 2nd time! Kinda bummed but still grateful

    That’s totally fair! Yeah someone on the board mentioned that earlier. I just think it’s strange that they released some decisions last week and seemingly nothing yet this week

    Weird that it appears no one heard from U of A this week. Does the potential strike have anything to do with it?

    Congratulations!! Is there any particular American schools that are good for Canadian applicants? I'm pretty familiar with Minot already.

    I concur. Historically Western sends out an email basically at 12:01am Apr 1st and UofT sometime in the morning, including last year-the first COVID admissions year.

    Congratulations!!! ? And thank you for sharing your stats. For the rest of us, I wonder if UofA has sent all their acceptances and are on waitlists/rejections now? Hopefully we find out tomorrow!

    oh interesting! I was under the impression that reference letters were used as the last measure because they aren't given that much weight

    For what it’s worth, I made it to the 4th quadrant of Western’s waitlist with a 3.45 sGPA. I was probably the last person on their list though ? Western and UofT have the same admissions criteria as they used last year, I believe
