    Does UofA usually send admissions decisions by email or through the portal?

    Does anyone have any guesses as to when Alberta will start releasing admission decisions this year? I know earlier in the thread someone said mid-March, but maybe not this year pending a potential strike.

    FYI for all those that took CASPer this year! Apparently you can see your quartile 4 weeks after taking the test in your Take Altus account.

    Hi! I agree with the other posters in that I believe increasing your GPA is the best move to make after rejection. Depending on how high your GPA was initially and where you're applying, my advice for what to do secondly differs.

    Hello Happy New Year! Which application is this for? I'm pretty sure at least for ORPAS it's totally fine to submit your application before all the referee forms are in.

    Hi They talked about the CV at the Western program day. Uploading one is totally optional and they may or may not look at it I believe. I think they said they're considering requiring one in the future.

    Hey! I'm applying this year and it looks like the reference letter request is sent right when you upload transcripts and pay. A couple of my references are received even though I haven't submitted anything additional yet.

    I think so! I had an SLP look over my statement and she said it was okay as long as you make sure to do something like "...speech-language pathology (SLP)..." the first time you use it and be consistent throughout your statement.

    I know what you're referring to, what I meant was that if you are also submitting a resume, to be consistent between your resume and volunteer section the order you put entries in-if that makes sense! But no worries now, looks like you got it all figured out

    Are you submitting a resume? I don't think it really matters which way you do it in this circumstance as long as you are consistent throughout the application.

    Does anyone have advice for taking CASPer? I'm preparing for the test and it terrifies me lol. I can't imaging giving sufficient answers for the 3 questions in only 5 minutes!

    Interesting! At the Western program day they definitely emphasized that it was mandatory and you could not get out of it. Personally I find it super exciting! I've attended the program day at least twice in the past and I don't recall this course being mentioned. Does anyone know if this is a course or if they just only started mentioning it in the program day? Maybe after feedback from current students?

    Hi! Is this researcher recognized at all in the industry? I think regardless of the answer it's still better to include it as it shows awareness of figures in the field. Just my two cents!

    Hi The 21 days is just to upload your transcripts and pay the application fee. You can upload the CV/statement of intent/course list any time after the app has been submitted until the deadline. Hope this helps! (This is my first year applying, so, disclaimer)

    For U of A, are the resume, SOI, and preparatory course list to be uploaded under Department Check 1/2/3 in the GSMS portal?

    Hey! My understanding is that it doesn't matter as they will all have to complete the same process to submit their reference (i.e. letter and referee form) hence why that isn't an option
