For anyone on UC Berkeley's waitlist, apparently 50% of admitted students have not accepted or declined their offer

An admin officer from Harvard told me that most students (even if they've made up their mind months ago) tend to wait until the April deadline to reject their offers. This seems to be the general trend and it must be a psychological thing. Even my friends who had numerous offers last cycle and KNEW which school they wanted to go to, waited until April to reject their other offers (even though they had accepted their main school ASAP). Anyway, that's just what I've heard/observed. Other people may have a different experience/understanding.

Is everyone else on the Columbia waitlist invited to the Visiting Day?

If by any chance the Modern Europeanist who was accepted to Harvard this cycle is on here, could they please privately message me? Would be greatly appreciated!

Have Yale acceptances already come out? If so, do you mind sharing your sub-field?

Just got waitlisted at Harvard. Second year in a row. Not sure what to make of this, as I never got off the waitlist last year.

Hey! I can imagine this is really stressful. I would try and spend some time offline tonight. Turn off your phone/laptop, give them to a friend/roommate. If you haven't heard anything by tomorrow, especially since rejections have come out via the portal, which is usually automated to everyone on the rejection list, then maybe you've been waitlisted?
