Does anyone have any thoughts on sending thank-you emails after an initial interview? Not sure if I should do it
I have, just seems polite to me and you can remind them of your interest.

Oh my gosh, this is so early! I'm totally depending on the winter holidays to prepare for interviews. I can't imagine having an invitation for an interview with just three days to prepare in the middle of my exam period!
Thankfully I graduated in the Spring so I don't have courses now. But I will be spending the next few days preparing.

I think so! Mine says pending as well! I assume it says that until it is updated with the results. Regarding the 'Required' status, if I click on view requirements it says my reference assessments are complete but statement of interest and official transcript (which I believe they do not need until you get an offer - an unofficial transcript is fine) are labeled 'required'. I also think this is fine because the status legend mentions that these statuses remain this way until they are manually updated by the graduate program.
Exact same with my app too!

Does anyone know when we will typically hear back from schools? Specifically from York, OISE, UTSC, Guelph, Waterloo and McMaster? I have an interview next week with a prof over Zoom from Mac but I'm not even sure if she is accepting students, as her name was taken off the list of profs who are accepting. Thoughts??
Is your Mac interview informal or formal?

For sure saw someone from I Calgary comment on a twitter thread about this - not with actual numbers but that she expects the same.
on the other hand, I do appreciate seeing those tweets too, because if I am rejected it’s nice to see the encouragement that it isn’t the end of following my passion and to try again. I’m swinging wildly from acceptance to downright denial to misery to totally ok with it.
Could you post the thread? I’d be curious to read it!

God I feel that ?? ? I worked really hard on my applications too. It just sucks that so many super qualified people this year will mostly be rejected just because of the surge of applications. I wish you the best of luck!!!
I can’t imagine how hard it must be in the US too with just so many more applications but I really do wish you the best! All you need is one offer, good luck!

Who else is scared right now? ? I just saw the tweet regarding UNCs clinical psych phd applications. I can't BELIEVE that they received almost a THOUSAND applications! That's CRAZY.
So yeah ? time to pray guys. I'm not religious by any means but I am currently researching all of the deities that mankind has ever worshipped.I’m from Canada and this scared me... I feel like I’ve put so much into my applications and I really thought I’d be a good candidate but it’s so hard to tell now.

Wow, seeing things from profs in the US talking about high applicant numbers has me extremely stressed about the case here in Canada... anyone absolutely questioning their applications now? ?
