Hi this is going to sound silly but when you called admissions did they ask for your name and look up your record specifically? Or would they be able to just tell you a general timeline? I’ve been anxious all day and am considering caving to call admissions from another school ☹️

I totally agree with you! A rejection is not a “No”, just a “Not now”!!! I’m currently in a 2 year research coordinator position right now and am considering pursuing a masters as a Plan B (to boost my GPA and because I really miss school). Was your masters program funded by chance or did you need to take loans out to pay? Best of luck to you, third time is the charm!

Congratulations on getting an interview!! I didn’t apply to UCSB but am curious, what kind of additional info did they want you to fill out?

Same it seems like most people are posting about preliminary interviews though and i see a lot of the same schools talked about, so hopefully within the next few weeks we’ll get official interviews for Jan-feb for the ones we applied to! I’ve also seen that some schools say they won’t send out invites until January because there’s no rush since everything’s virtual. We’re all definitely riding the anxiety wave together! Just remember that it’s not over until it’s over in April, so never lose hope! Each day that passes is just another day closer to that exciting email or phone call :))

Question: I’ve seen a lot of informal interview invites on the general ClinPsych admissions page on GradCafe, does anyone know what the informal interviews mean? I haven’t received one and have no idea if i should be hoping to receive one or not. Any thoughts?

Hi! Also my first year applying and I’m interested in pursuing a career in neuropsych. I definitely applied to programs that had a neuropsych concentration, but I applied to 15 overall. The remaining schools were just ones that I felt like I was a good fit research wise, and they offered practicing experience in neuropsych assessment. The ones with a specific neuropsych track were obviously my favorite though
