I have received an offer from PTS, and BU will send the letter by Feb 15th. So I'm waiting at least for BU and then make my decision whether I want to turn down BC's offer. I'll keep you updated. Fingers crossed on you being put on the waitlist!

Hello! Is it the Theology Department? They already posted my acceptance decision on Jan 23 (I apply for Systematic Theology). I'm still keeping it but most likely will drop it to go for PTS/BU. There is still a chance you are on a waitlist though.

A little sad, but an interview is farther than I've gotten in years prior so to get two interviews from top schools is a positive thing. My mood will change based on how they respond to me asking for information about what I could do to improve my chances if I apply next year

@sorenerasmus hang in there. I don't have any advice, but I believe in you to figure out a proper course of action. Seems like the advice given sounds pretty accurate from what little I know on the topic!
I'm currently working through something similar as BC is throwing down a full scholarship at me with a 10K GA for the year. I was feeling good about that until Villanova dangled the possibility of working with a specific scholar in their program for a full stipend, which would adjust my offer from a full scholarship with 8K GA for two years, to possible 17K GA per year... not really sure how/what to do with all of this as BC is my top choice, but the Villanova offer is pretty sweet if I could get it.
Anyway, all of this to say that I'm in a slightly similar situation, and I'll have you in mind!

I found this very entertaining. As someone who went to the Graduate Theological Union, the comments about four of the member schools mentioned there (CDSP, SFTS, SKSM, and PSR) are somewhat accurate. ?
 

I asked for more from Duke Divinity based on advice from others. Duke's response was essentially "Here is our list of external scholarships." I know their field education pays $8k-10k per round and I'm thrilled to have been offered a 50% tuition scholarship, but I'm still surprised at Duke's lack of funding compared to, well, many other schools.
By the way, congrats to all who are hearing back from Chicago and elsewhere!

I think Boston is my number one, but I would really like the money of a GA to make it competitive with the Villanova offer. Any thoughts about these programs outside of money?

If your friend hasn't heard back they probably will verrrry soon. I was rejected at ND this afternoon, so I imagine it's about that time. So it goes. I'll finish the application season going 3/4!

Duke just called to congratulate me on being accepted to their MDiv and offered a 50% tuition scholarship! For those wondering, Duke's admissions team is calling accepted applicants today and will send acceptance emails in the afternoon.

That's fantastic news! Your wait is over ha. Sounds like BU has just been trickling out that scholarship info (they called me last week).
