Hi folks! Long time no chat
After being placed on the waitlist for UofT's two-year program, I received an offer of admission yesterday. Last initial L. My fingers are crossed for each of you as they roll through the waitlist!
Hello! Congratulations ? Thank you for sharing- I am on the waitlist for the two-year program so this gives me hope ahaha. Last initial M.

Hello! Does anyone here know of anyone who is currently doing their MSW (2-year program) at the University of Windsor? I have a couple questions I'd love to ask.
Thanks

Hi all, I was placed on the waitlisted for 2- year MSW at UofT. Just got my acceptance email that I’ve been offered a spot for September! So sounds like they’re rolling through the wait list now. Last name is a V! ?
Hello!! Congratulations that’s great news ? I am currently on the wait list and have my fingers crossed.
Do you know your course schedule yet and if they will be solely online for the fall semester?

As expected- I received my rejection this afternoon. Last name starts with M.
I am ok with that decision because I am going the MSW route instead- Good luck to everyone

I’ve heard absolutely nothing yet ☹️
I haven't either. However, I have it in my mind that is a matter of time before receiving the rejection. I honestly forgot I applied to this program- I heard back from my other applications and will be getting my MSW this September!

Just curious to know how many MSW programs everyone usually applies for? I only applied to WLU, and like so many of us, did not get in.
I wondered if I should have applied for more than 1 program?I applied to a total of 4 MSW-2 year programs: UofT (waitlisted), Western (waitlisted), Windsor (accepted), and Laurier (rejected)- I actually wished I applied to BC for the possibility of escaping Ontario during these COVID times lol.

I got waitlisted to UofT and Western, and accepted to Windsor's 2-year program. I have heard mixed things about being on the waitlist for UofT, however, I am still holding up hope because UofT is more practical for me and I heard some people hear back as late as July. I am super appreciative and feel fortunate of being accepted to Windsor as it really has settled my nerves and anxiety.
Wherever we all go I know our experience of achieving our MSW whether it is this year or next will be amazing and such a great achievement.

hi!! I'd love to get to know people who are also going to Windsor (both advanced standing and regular track)!
Maybe I missed the post but has there been any facebook groups made for Windsor yet??
Hello!!! There has been a group created for the 2-year regular track at Windsor:

Anything from u of t waitlist yet??
I haven't heard anything yet. I know someone on this forum was suspecting maybe we'd start to hear back mid-May since those who got offered acceptances have until early-May to either accept or decline.

Did you get accepted to UW off the waitlist?
Hello! No, I just received an acceptance offer.

I got accepted to UWindsor MSW (regular track) and wait listed at UofT and Western. I was doing some more research today into the MSW program at UW and realized it was not clinical at all. I know there is a possibility of movement for the wait list-I am praying from UofT. However, if there isn't, does anyone know if I would be able to purse clinical social work jobs without having the clinical social work educational background if I still decide to do my MSW at UW this fall?
Thank you for any insight!!!!

Hey, guys this might be a stupid question, but what would you say is the easiest MSW program to get into in canada? My first choice when I apply will be UofT but I really want backup options so I am not too disappointed if I get rejected from UofT
Hey!!! I am not sure getting into any program is easy to be honest. Getting accepted into any MSW program is an honour. My best piece of advice would be just to apply to the most MSW programs as you can due to some having more spots than others. More applications creates a higher chance of getting into an MSW program.

HELLO EVERYONE!!!!
I tried to see if there was a Facebook group made for those attending the University of Windsor 2-year track MSW program and there wasn't. Thus, I attempted to start a group:

Inbox me if there are any issues with the link

Hello everyone!
For those who accepted their University of Windsor offer I have a question about setting up UWinsite. How long after setting it up did it change from an “applicant profile” on the top? It should change as per the welcome email instructions so I can see the important deadlines as a student.
Thank you in advance for any insight!!

I know the University of Windsor has already announced: “Fall semester courses run from September 9th to December 8th, 2021 and will be held online.” I imagine UofT being in a hotspot would be the same, but until they announce it- it isn’t guaranteed.

Just received my rejection letter from Laurier. It looks like I will be doing my MSW 2 year tract at UW unless I get off the wait list for UofT!!!
Does anyone know if there is any MSW group made already for students going to UW?
Best luck to everyone on here!

I feel like they may not be doing it today because there is many people on this forum and for all people to not have heard anything, good or bad is odd. I am choosing to still be optimistic that they are spreading the decision process for over a week.

Thank you everyone for replying!! I am just so anxious waiting for decisions ?
This forum is honestly an amazing support group !
