Hey! Has anyone applied for USC? I applied for the priority deadline (11/1), but I was informed that it was not related to funding, as all accepted students are fully funded. I was wondering what this priority deadline means. Anyway, when does USC typically release its results?
-
Hi everyone! At first, when I applied to a PHD in the priority deadline 11/1 I thought it was related to funding issues. However, when I contacted the director of admissions, she told me that this is not the case since all students are fully funded. But she also didn't tell me the reason for the priority. If it doesn't have to do with fundig, does anyone know what is the purpose/benefit of having an application in the priority deadline?

I absolutely believe you have chances, and GPA is just a tiny part of your application. Also, you can explain all of your situation on your SOP.

Fall 2022 Application Thread for Communications Program Hi all, I am from Brazil, an international student already getting craaaazy with this! I can't be the only one here who's already started this process, right?! I believe we can help each other here through this stressful process I have my BA in Communication, an MBA in Marketing, and I am in the last semester of my master's in Communication with a concentration in technology and culture. My key research topics for Ph.D. are fan studies, participatory culture, social media, media studies, and gender studies. I'm primarily looking at programs with technology/media/gender emphasis. Anyone else out there interested in those topics? Anywho, here is my list-in-progress: - Upenn - University of Florida - University of Oregon - Syracuse University - University of Massachusetts - Amherst - USC - University of Maine - UC davis - UC San Diego - Rutgers - Cornell - University of illinois at urbana-champaign - Northwestern University Can you also share other programs that you might be applying to as well?
