  1. This is my concern too, but hopefully, it won't affect anything at least for this year, since they are already sending the results and preparing for the new academic year.
  2. Hey everyone. does anyone know if the UK is still considered to be a programme country? I'm an international (out of EU) and I was in the UK for more than 12 months. I'm trying to understand if I consider being part of a programme country or a partner country?
  3. Then my guess is, it's definitely for evaluation. It's rare to get accepted with no interview (except for some courses). A conditional offer means you are accepted only if you can provide them with something. it could be your degree, true/hard copy of your degree, language degree, interview, etc. And for your second question, no I don't think acceptance to the course automatically makes you eligible for the scholarship. You might get accepted on a self-fund basis. But yeah, make sure to email them.
  4. As far as I know, an interview with your evaluators means they want to evaluate you and see if you are fit for the programme/scholorship. Have you been interviewed before?
  5. Usually, there is a ranking list and the top 20 gets the scholarship, The rest of them self-funding. In my programme, there were 24 acceptance, 20 for scholarship and 4 were offered self-funding, regardless of being able to afford self-funding or not. The result that I was in the top 20 came in mid-February (after a 15-minute zoom interview with 6 people from 3 different universities) by a personal email from programme director. And the final confirmation of the scholarship is supposed to be announced by end of April (latest). (Bear in mind that these were the stats for my course and each course has its own unique timing. hope you get it.)
  6. I was interviewed by the consortium and then I was selected for the scholorship. Now I'm waiting for EACEA to do the final confirmation... hard to wait. does anyone know if it is possible that EACEA reject you?
  7. Not much. about two weeks. half of them told me at the end of the interview that they liked my application and I should receive the official letter soon. But I'm happy that I didn't accept it. it was like a big trap. paying 30K for a film program is ridicilus. I can make a feature-lenght film with 30K. I'm telling you man, most of these universities are preying on students. you get a useless degree and end up with an empty bank account or a life long debt. they escpecailly love us, internationals because we have to pay in cash. So no wonder they keep emailing me about "when am I going to apply again".
  8. I applied for Northwestern, San Francisco State, De Paul, Full Sail and Sacred Heart. (MFA in Film) I got rejected from Northwestern and accepted from the rest. I didn't accept the offers though because I didn't receive any scholarship and on top of that, borders were close to internationals. this year I only applied for Canada and Europe (since it's extremely more affordable and I don't have to rely on scholarships.) I'm sorry to hear about your situation. it sucks but hopefully, you will get accepted from the rest.
  9. Number of total applicants. It's surprising to me because I thought now that the Covid situation is (relatively) in control, borders are open and classes are mostly back on to face to face, people are supposed to apply more. ?
  10. Everyone is saying the number of applicants decreased this year in comparison to last year. I hope it's good news for us ?
  11. Interesting... but I wonder, what would be the reason for this? I thought people start to apply more once the Covid situation is (relatively) better and classes are back to face to face.
  12. I'm an international too. I applied for US universities last year and for all of them, I heard back in early March (interview and then acceptance). Apparently, sometimes it takes longer for internationals since they are in a different pool.
  13. February is among us! do you think we might hear something in February? frankly, I'm happy with anything, any sort of info; acceptance, rejection, interview... anything but something. I only applied for Europian and Canadian universities (MFA, film) and so far nothingggggggggg. some of them just viewed my online portfolio ?
  14. I just realized that UBC only accepts "2" people per year for their film MFA ? This is insane. same thing about Aalto and some other unis. realy weird.
  15. Hello everyone. anyone heared back from York Uni in Canada? still no decision for me and no interview. I applied for MFA for fall 2022.
