I was accepted to Western SLP, Wester Audiology and McMaster SLP
Very excited!!

I got accepted to U of T and Western!

Got in to Western!

Omg. Omg. Omg. Omg!  I got accepted to U of T, my first and only choice!! 

I also just received my acceptance letter from the UofA!! I was shocked when I saw it in my inbox because I convinced myself it wasn't going to be released until next week!! So I am so excited the the UofA is my top choice!

I just heard back from UofA!!!!!!!! I'm shaking, I can't believe this!!!!

Hi all! Long time lurker of the forum. I just got the call that I got into McGill!! I was feeling pretty distraught all weekend when I didn't get a call last Friday, so for everyone who is in the same boat know that there's still hope! Also I know some people were wondering about Casper scores, I scored in the 3rd quartile so I don't think we should sweat too much about it, McGill seems to take a more holistic approach to evaluating applicants anyways  

I just got a call from McGill that I was accepted! 

Just wanted to say that I just got a call from Mcgill about an hour ago! I got in ☺️
 
they seem to have just started the process and will be going through to next week as well! So don’t worry too much!! 

Hi everyone, I'm a current first-year SLP student at Western. It was mentioned today by one of our professors that they had their final meeting this morning to make decisions about acceptances, so you should be hearing shortly  I know how stressful the waiting is, hang in there!  

Me too!! I'm so surprised they sent out letters so early!

Just heard back from Dal!! So happy 

Last year I was waitlisted on March 24th! Hopefully won't be much longer until we hear back

ORPAS subGPA - 3.62 | CASPer Test - 4th quartile | ~150 volunteer hours in SLP clinic | Working 1-on-1 with an individual with an intellectual disability
This round I applied to Dalhousie, University of Toronto, Western, McMaster, University of Alberta, and University of Maine.
I was not selected for an MMI with Mac (not surprised), but I was accepted to UMaine so thankfully the sixth time was the charm for me!  Still hoping for a Canadian acceptance, but grateful and excited nonetheless!

She let me know that I was in the top half of the waitlist!

I'm not sure of its current accreditation status, but I believe before it was accredited/if it isn't yet accredited graduates were only able to practice in the province of Ontario. That was my understanding of what I read the last time I looked into McMaster (which was a year or two ago now).

My name is Pam. I just found this site after googling for info about SLP in Canada. I wish I knew this existed sooner!
I applied to McGill, Western, U of T and Dalhousie this cycle and got waitlisted for McGill and U of T, rejected from Western and offered an admission to Dal! So that’s where I’ll be going in September. 
This was my first year applying, I’m just about to graduate from my BA in Linguistics. If anyone has any questions I’d be happy to share! 
Congrats to everyone who got in! I look forward to meeting the rest of the successful Dal applicants soon.
 

Unfortunately been denied by Western for the fifth time. Nothing from UofT yet but since my ORPAS portal is blank I'm assuming that's also a no from them (number 4 or 5 I've lost count ?) until I receive an email.
It's frustrating and disappointing but I'm still holding out hope to hear from Dalhousie soon, or get good news from one of the two waitlists I'm on.
Also a huge congrats to those who have been successful! ?

I'm glad they've divulged more info in where a person stands on the waitlist this year! Last year they wouldn't say!
