  1. BU's practical theology Ph.D now does provide full funding, with 20,000 stipend for five years.
  2. Hello, I am a current Ph.D. student at Boston University's Practical Theology doctoral program. As a student of a rapidly growing, exciting program in practical theology, I just wanted to let you guys know that BU offers full-tuition scholarship with $20,000 stipend. go check it out! http://www.bu.edu/sth/academics/financial-aid/
  3. that's such a tragedy that people in div. schools don't even read the bible!
  4. I have been accepted to GTU in systematic/philosophical theology too. I asked Dean Kook about the presidential scholarship, and she responded that if you are one, then your acceptance letter will say that you are, which means that you don't get one if you don't see in your letter that you are receiving the scholarship. hope this helps. as for me, I've got an offer from another school wth a great package, so I'll probably go to that school instead of GTU.
  5. To smadak: you had an interview for BU? could you specify which area you have applied for BU?
  6. I also applied for Duke Ph.D., but I didn't hear anything yet. no email, no phone call, no nothing. What's going on?
  7. To LateAntique: Do you know when the folks in Systematics are meeting? Is it this week as well?
  8. hi guys, my question is, as you've all seen the topic title, what's it like for the status of orthodox Christian theology at UVa? I've applied to the school, and spoken to a number of professors there via email, and had a feeling that its atmosphere toward orthodox Chritian theology is quite favorable. But I want a third-person perspective, especially those of you who know much more about the school than me. thanks! edit: what I mean by "orthodox Christian theology" is NOT "Greek Orthodox" or any such kind. I meant to use the term in the sense of traditional/evangelical/orthodox theology. Sorry for the possible confusion!
  9. Hi, so I have applied to 2 Ph.D programs in religion. One of them has rejected me, and the other has placed me on the waitlist. I'm wondering if there're any of you religion Ph.D people out there who got accepted off the waitlist? Let's share some stories!
  10. I have been away in California for the past 2 weeks, and I came back home, only to find out that they have not sent me anything even by now. What does this mean? Does this mean that the post office in charge has got my address wrong? sorry. j/k... I feel so desperate...
  11. Has anyone heard about BC STM's Ph.D. results? Have they come out already?
  12. do you know any of them has been notified of their results? I haven't heard anything so far, although I know that they will notify almost everyone of the results by the end of this week.
  13. Does anyone apply for BC STM's Ph.D. in theology and education? any opinion?
  14. does Duke Th.D. invite people for interviews? I have called them, and they sounded a bit equivalent about it. so I'm asking this to you guys.
  15. anybody has applied for the Th.D. at Duke Div. School? Let's share what you know, think, and feel about this year's Duke Th.D.applications!
