  1. Bumping up this post . . . anyone know of any RA or lab manager positions that might be opening up this summer or fall?
  2. This is very last-minute, but I was wondering if anyone from this forum was going to be at the Psychonomics conference in Minneapolis this weekend. I'm going to be there presenting a poster on cognitive aging. If anyone else is going to be there, maybe we could plan a meet-up or something of that nature?
  3. Congratulations to everyone who has gotten accepted to the program, and good luck making your decisions about where to attend! I am in my first year of the program, and I'd be more than happy to answer questions or chat about anything from apartments to academics to things to do on the weekends . . .
  4. I'm definitely going . . . sent in my postcard last week! Sorry your funding at Nova wasn't better, but hopefully your interview at Drexel will help you make some decisions! Best of luck, and keep us posted
  5. Congratulations, good for you!! I still haven't gotten my official funding information either, so stay tuned for that. Way to go!!
  6. Yeah, I got the email from a student also. I had the opportunity during my visit to have lunch and chat with some current students, but I'm trying to think of something thoughtful to ask this guy, since he took the time to write, you know? If you find out that you are accepted or waitlisted, you definitely should try to visit campus if you can! The students, professors, and staff were all so friendly and made me feel very welcome. It was such a nice experience, and really made me want to accept their offer. The number I used to reach the psych department was 610-519-4720. Good luck again, and feel free to ask me any questions . . . and I'd like to hear how things work out for you!
  7. Thanks so much, I'm ecstatic! I got a letter from the department early in March stating that I was being recommended for admission, but only received my official acceptance from the grad school about a week ago. I was informally notified during a campus visit that I am being offered financial aid. Are you still waiting to hear? The department secretary, Louise Carbone, was very helpful and informative, so I'm sure she'd try to give you more information if you called the department. Good luck!
  8. I wanted to bump up this topic and say that I am accepting my offer of admission at Villanova and starting work on my MS in Psychology this fall! I'd love to hear from other grad students who will be starting at Villanova in Fall 2011. Has anyone else visited campus? The atmosphere seems very relaxed and friendly, and campus and the surrounding areas are beautiful!
  9. Hey guys! LisaLisa, congrats on getting into VU! I was accepted to Villanova with a full assistantship, and am so excited to be starting there in the fall! Do you think you're going to accept the offer?
  10. Hi! I might be starting at Villanova this fall. I'll be working toward an MS in Psychology. I'm very excited to be visiting campus next week. My sister goes to Bryn Mawr, which is just up the road, so I'm somewhat familiar with the area, and find it beautiful! I was notified by my department that I'm being recommended for admission, but haven't received an official acceptance letter, or any news about financial aid. Hoping these come soon!
