  1. FWIW, I emailed as I was in a similar situation and it has been more than 2 months since I submitted my applications. It might be possible that some schools are still making decisions, and you might just be in the next batch of offers sent out, or you might be wait-listed. Good luck! Maybe you might wake up to a pleasant surprise tomorrow
  2. If you know the school generally sends out offers before or around now and it has been >6 weeks since the application deadline, it might be worth emailing them to ask. I did that yesterday, and got told by one school that they were still processing due to a larger than usual applicant pool this year, was told I was wait-listed by another, and Boston hasn't replied me yet. You might well be on some kind of wait-list or the school might just be slow...
  3. It's nearly the end of the month - how long more will this drag out
  4. This was painful to read, as in my mind I could well imagine this happening to me. Better luck this year!
  5. I have 8 rejections, 0 waitlists and 0 offers.
  6. I'm losing my mind hoping I'll get a call, or an email from one of the 4 remaining schools that hasn't rejected me.

  8. Well, I was told I'm rejected from the Stats programme, but nothing said about Stats and ML.
  9. Well, I do know that it probably is some time this week....
  10. All my favourite local foods while I still can - which usually means carbs like noodles or rice. Not going well for my tummy :X
  11. Now i'm wondering if the Michigan acceptance posted (via postal service) is real or not.
  12. cardiac arrest
  13. Wait till you get rejection after rejection and start wondering if applying to 12 schools was enough...

  15. Alternatively, if you have an android phone and 3G/wifi, gmail has push notification. Thankfully I don't quite have this problem of checking because all the rejections come in during my sleeping hours anyway...
  16. Working probably helps. I think I feel better working than waiting around at home.
  17. Some schools seem to do funding later, perhaps this is one of them...?
  18. They took over a month to process my GRE scores, and in the meantime a school was asking me where my scores were.
  19. Yup, got one from the latter.
  20. People are getting offers? My programme at UBC had a deadline of Jan 15, so I guess I'll be waiting for a while more.
  21. circuit board
  22. Given that it's UBC, probably paper copies of everything, mailed with an official seal from your undergrad institution if possible.
  23. It depends, if you're going into something research-based, chances are you'll hit a ceiling sooner or later (sooner for me) without a PhD.
