  1. haha same here, I hope I beat you in the lottery
  2. I guess I could live with that, thanks for the info! What about T.V. do any of the apartments have Television and Cable T.V.?
  3. There are 2 bedroom efficiency apartments in EV Highrises, which cost just a little bit more than the 1 bedroom with living room converted. You can check them in the link bellow. They seem pretty nice, of course smaller than the ones in Lyman; that was why I was wondering if there is any downside to these apartments... "Unrestricted views are one of the benefits of living in Blackwelder and Quillen, Escondido Village’s two 12-story towers. Each building has 110 two-bedroom efficiency apartments, each shared by two single students." http://www.stanford.edu/dept/rde/cgi-bin/drupal/housing/housing/escondido-village-highrise-apartments
  4. I was talking about the 2 bedroom efficiency apartments, not the one with the living room. Any ideas how good they are?
  5. basically the same thing you heard, what do you know about the 2bedroom efficiency apartments? their price seems to low compared to the other options? are there any downside to these apartments?,
  6. In the letter of admission they sent me it says it took about 1 week to activate the SUNid before you could log on to axes, that is why im confused.
  7. I created my SUNid on wenesday and I still havent been able to log in on Axes... I dont know how many days I need to wait before its activated
  8. I have checked all the options at stanford page, I am single and I think I am going to apply for the cheapest option which is EV efficiency apartments.... I just wanted to know if maybe someone have some suggestions or advice regarding this process
  9. Attending a MS in CEM on the fall Are you guys applying for housing? any suggestions?
  10. MS in Construction Engineering and Management (CEM)
  11. Change of plans, I was accepted in Stanford with lots of financial aid, so I accepted their offer....
  12. I emailed them 3 days ago, today they responded on financial aid, 21.000 Fellowship!!!!
  13. I got and answer yestarday, I got admitted!! no news for financial aid yet
  14. Maybe there is someone here who has received a decision? especially from the CEM program?
  15. Thanks a lot for the info and advice, For now I think I am going with Columbia, I am trying to check housing which seems a lot more expensive and that could be a big factor.
  16. Does anyone knows anything about Stanford CEE? I sent my application on early Dec and I havent been able to communicate directly with anyone from the department. Every mail I write I get an automatic response saying they are processing my application. The problem I have is that all the other programs I applied to already gave me an answer and are expecting a response for next week. Since Stanford is my first choice I want to wait for them but I dont know is this would be possible... If somebody have any info to share or any idea about when they are supposed to reply? or when they usually reply I would really appreciate it
  17. Yes I would like to follow that concentration in case I go to Duke, but now I have another good problem: I got accepted to a MS in Construction Engineering and Management in Columbia. I find very helpful the employment rates and statistics for Duke's MEM, but I cant find that info for Columbia. Now comparing Duke with and Ivy league like Columbia, where would you go? I really like the variety of Duke's MEM program but Columbia is very tempting...
  18. Hey I got admitted but now I am in the decision process and maybe you could help me out: I applied to 2 very different programs, but I really like both: 1. UIUC: Construction Management Program, ranked 3rd in Civil Engineering. 2. DUKE: Master in Engineering Management, ranked 20ish in Engineering, but the MEM program is associated with MIT, Stanford, Dartmouth and others. Also Duke is ranked better overall. One important factor for me is the possibility of getting a job in the US after graduating, since I am an international student. With this in mind, what would you think matter most? overall ranking? field ranking? program associated with Ivy leagues? Basically what I am asking is for an outside opinion, what would you do if you were me?
