I can support with my own funds. I know there is no supposed to be safety schools, I just wanted to get an idea on which one of those 2 is considered more competitive or difficult to get in. Do you know where can I find those kind of statistics such as acceptance rate and class profile? I havent found them for most schools

I just finished sending my application to some top Engineering and Construction Management Programs. Now I am looking for some "safety" schools in case I am not accepted in the top programs. I am deciding between TEXAS A&M (ranked 13th in Engineering) and USC (ranked 11th). I like both schools but basically I want to apply to the one I have a better chance of getting in. What do you think? This are my gre and toefl scores: GRE: quant 160 (84%, 760); verb 160 (86%, 600), aw 4.5 (75%) TOEFL IBT: 116 I have a year of experience working in construction and graduated at the number 1 position of my classs of 32 students in a University in Caracas, Venezuela. NC State Which school do you think is the best and also a safer choice? Any suggestions? My GRE scores are: verb 160/600 and quant 160/760

That was my initial question, where is that "checklist" in the stanford application? I havent found it yet, the only thin I can check are the LOR

Yesterday was the deadline for Stanford online app, and i havent had a chance to check the status of my application and the supporting documents. Is there a way to check if the GRE and TOEFL scores and the official paper transcripts were received? I also havent got a single mail response from the e-mails they gave for contact. Any ideas?

I have not find an application status page in the stanford application where I can check if the official scores have arrived yet.The same happen with the paper transcripts. In the status page they online have the recommendation letters. How do you guys know that the scores were not reported? is there a way to check that from ETS?

Ok I have now submitted must of my online applications. Most of them already have all the recommendation letter and official scores received. The application status is "submitted". Is this status going to change once the department checked that all the documents are received? What should I do after submitting the application to check that all the required documents are there, is the status supposed to change to "completed" at some point? Thanks for your help!

I am now looking for some safety schools to apply for a MS in the field of Construction Engineering and Management. I am currently applying to 5 top 10 schools and I need some advice to find some mid tier programs in case my first options fail. I know many people disagree with having safety schools but I cant loose a whole year in case I am not accepted. Any suggestions? I appreciate any advice....
