Hey, does anyone know how to check whether or not UF got your materials? I just tried to log back onto the application, clicked on "check status," but then I was only able to see the application I submitted.

Well, I guess that means I'm out since I haven't heard anything, and I already have an MA.

Has anyone checked their status at Buffalo on the website they told us to check?

I didn't apply to Duke, but I'm pretty sure the English department doesn't have interviews, just the Lit department, so that is why someone got accepted to the English department already.

If you look right above that post, you will see that that poster made an error and meant to put Northwestern, not Emory.

I definitely did a lot of looking around at stuff for Lawrence, and then I got my KU rejection, so I'm not doing that again. It got my hopes up too much.

So, I just saw an admit to Penn State. Is that right? Their application wasn't even due until Jan.15th.

Oh, another NYU acceptance was just added. I didn't apply there but I'm getting caught up in the excitement.

I have been reading a lot of graphic memoirs lately (e.g. Maus, Persepolis, American Widow, Fun Home, etc.), and I was wondering if anyone knew of any supplementary reading for this area of scholarship. I have been getting into this on my own, so I don't know of any theory, articles, people, anything about this topic. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I pretty much know I will be rejected from UCR because I found out after I submitted the application that the person I was most interested in working with, and the person I discussed the most in my SOP, just recently left. Awesome.

I figured it would be nice to have a thread where people could post results since they are starting to roll in. So far I have my KU rejection. I see someone got a UCR acceptance. It prompted me to check my application, but it says it's still processing.

I was just about to post the same thing. I'm glad someone got an early decision that was positive. Congrats!

They were a good fit for me, too. That's at least 5 people who have gotten rejected from there. I thought that I would at least make the wait list. This does not bode well for this application season.

I, too, checked my status after seeing your post and saw my rejection as well. It has really freaked me out because although I know there are no "safe" schools, this was a lower-ranked school than my other schools and it was a good fit. Yikes. I'm getting really depressed already.

Well, it wasn't me, but it prompted me to check my own application there. I, too, was rejected. This is not a good sign. I feel like I already know how the rest is going to play out......

A couple of people I know got put on the wait list without an interview, but ultimately did not get in.
