  1. Just got accepted to Milano's the New School in NYC for their nonprofit program. It was one of my backup options, and still haven't heard about financial aid. But anyone got any info on this school?

Anyone applied? We're supposed to hear by the 15th, and at the time of the application I wasn't accepted to my schools. Now that I'm accepted, do I need to send them my official admission letter? Thanks
  3. I think they do have on campus housing but isn't that supposed to be more expensive? finding an apartment in NYC will be a pain, not to mention expensive and time consuming, so I'm hoping they do offer graduate housing!
  4. You're not. I'm struggling with the same thing. I keep fantasizing myself with a NYU sweatshirt walking around NYC. lol
  5. Unfortunately, I won't be able to attend the admitted students day since I live in Asia, but please let me how it goes!
  6. When is the deadline for the accepted students to confirm their acceptance? I'm on the waitlist and I'm hoping I'll know after you guys accept/decline. haha
  7. Thanks. Wow the interest is crazy. I'm still waiting to hear about funding from some schools.
  8. I agree! I was looking at HSBC. But their interest rates are so high! Any other banks? Besides, do all banks have this rule of not loaning more than 20 lakhs?
  9. I plan to sell myself. haha jk jk. But seriously. The tuition cost is ridiculous. But I'll have to get a student loan from India. The maximum loan amount is normally $40,000 - with which I hope to pay for my 1st year. But for the 2nd year I'll have to make sure I get a research assistantship or something. Still trying to figure it all out.
  10. I'm actually in the same position. I'm international (India) too, but having done undergrad in CA, I've visited the USC campus a couple times. My first option all this time was USC - program and location being the main reasons. But that was because frankly I didn't think NYU would actually admit me. Now that I'm through Wagner too, I'm going to do a bit of research of how much impact both the schools have internationally. My career goals are to return to India or Singapore eventually so I want to see how strong the alumni networks for both the schools are in Asia. Besides, from what I've heard there is a higher possibility of getting aid at NYU in the 2nd year (from what I've heard), but I'm still waiting on financial aid results before making any decisions. And lastly, the NYU program is more suited to my goals - nonprofit. The core courses interest me a bit more than the core courses at USC, and of course the interdisciplinary nature of the program. At USC, you need to get approval from your adviser before taking classes outside SPPD. I must admit though, I'm a bit confused between the 2 as well. Waiting to hear what others here have to say.
  11. I was actually informed via email since I have to send in some financial info. So the international students office contacted me informing of of acceptance. I called them to check on my financial aid though.
  12. JUST GOT IN!
  13. Just got admitted to USC Price. No Aid from them. So have to think about all my options before making a decision. Also waiting on Wagner! and Cornell.
  14. I just called them and confirmed. Turns out I need to send some more financial info. BUT YESS! I GOT IN. I'm super excited. Just waiting to hear about different financial aid options since I wasn't awarded any aid.
  15. So, I just got an email from the Office of International Admissions saying - "Your application for admission to the University of Southern California has been received and reviewed. I am pleased to inform you that you are academically eligible for admission to the Fall 2012 semester" I haven't got any other letter from the admissions office. Does this mean I got admission? Any international students who applied- please help!
  16. Unfortunately they don't. I hate how they still do postal mail. It adds an extra 5-6 days for me since I'm international. Just inform us via email and get it over with.
  17. Congrats! that's great news I'm waiting on USC and Wagner as well. Did you USC application status page change? Mine still says "your file has been forwarded to the department". Did they give you any aid?
  18. Lol. Me too! When I read those 2 emails, I was like seriously? Just tell me if I'm accepted or not. Don't freak me out for no reason.
  19. Me too! I'm waiting on both as well. Wagner sent a couple emails regarding their ranking and career expo and I literally jumped out of bed when my phone beeped with a "Wagner admissions" email. Seriously dude. they have to stop sending the unnecessary emails and just get on with the main thing we're all waiting for. haha
  20. If t's been your dream.. then Harvard it is!! Huge Congrats!
  21. I'm waiting to hear about my waitlist option too. ugh. the wait sucks
  22. LMAO! This totally made my morning!
  23. haha Hell week for sure! Wagner is supposed to notify everyone by the 15th. Anxious about that one!
  24. I was on the wait list last year for Claremont Graduate University. I got accepted after being there for a few months, but ultimately decided to reject their offer, since I wanted to work and apply for MPA programs this year. I think that your chances are pretty good. The fact that they wait listed you means that they obviously liked your application, but are still a little unsure. I'm waitlisted at Cornell currently (I hate the wait). But I'm not too worried. There are a lot of applicants who don't end up attending the schools they get accepted to, so I'm sure you'll be fine! As long as you've confirmed your seat, I think you should just wait. Unless in the past month or 2 you've suddenly improved your profile with a better job/project, I wouldn't worry about sending them any more info. Good luck to us
  25. Great to know! haha you guys have helped calm me down! haha thanks! @ klyn- I saw that you're in China. I'm an international student too so I thought we'd only be notified via postal mail?
