Penn did this to me yesterday! The email was only a calendar of events for February. And Michigan sent me an email last week from Student Affairs. They need to get it together and not send these random emails from Jan-March. I'm seriously going to have a heart attack.

Congrats!!! Just another reason to dedicate all evening to refreshing my email/app website. I now do everything at home with my laptop next to me...eat dinner ...watch movies... I think we're dating. :/ Congrats!!!!!! You just confirmed my need to keep my phone fully charged. Wow..... And don't tell my laptop, but I'm cheating on him with my smartphone at night.

Finally! Didn't think I was going to make it through January.

I'll never get decisions! Aurghhhhhhh!!!!!! :facedesk:

spring cleaning a season early (positive thinking for future move)! go through ridiculously long netflix queue...feel like i'm in touch with reality read the stack of books on my kitchen table... avoid leaving apartment write thank yous to referees...before i get my decisions (to avoid uncomfortable phrases like "thanks anyway") start running... wake up early... wake up early to start running. give up coffee, muffins too. find another substitute for coffee. skip dessert...have coffee in the morning.

According to their website, decisions are not made until late Feb... I do hope they come sooner. I'm so tired of waiting.

Good to know, Sapoverde! Decisions were made around early March last year. I wonder if they are making decisions earlier this year.

I guess it's reasonable to assume that decisions aren't made at 10pm. So, what time are they made? Anyone have a good time frame for which decisions are sent out? 12-5pm? Just another thing to obsess about...

I spoke to an alumnus who graduate about 6 years ago and he fully recommends the program. Best decision he's ever made. Great experience. Incredible network. Just what you would expect. The experience may be different for every one, but I understood why he loved it when I went to visit- the students and faculty are amazing. I didn't want to leave.

I am not alone! Agreed. We go back and forth and I'm like, "Well, you just don't get it" and then she's like, "No, I get it..." and I'm thinking "No, you really don't. And according to gradcafe..." I'd like to give myself a timeout but seeing everyone else in a frenzy makes me feel....normal. Thanks guys.

So, my sister just called me to tell me that she was worried about how stressed out I was. She thought that I was too obsessed with checking gradcafe, email, and decision websites and that I was "just finding ways to stress myself out after the madness of submitting apps." She also said something along the lines of, "I know I'm not applying to grad school, but I know that what you are doing is not healthy." Am I the only one like this? Are there people out there who have really learned to be zen during this whole process? I need to know guys, how much is too much?

I also applied to a "masters of arts" program.... so depressing.

I went to a recruiting event and I wore loafers. They worked well. Comfortable enough for the walk to campus from my hotel (about a 2 mile walk) and they passed the casual/formal test. Personal preference, I guess. Good luck! Don't overthink it. Just wear whatever makes you feel confident.

I hear this every day... Yeah, this line is just awesome. You might as well say, "I don't think your issue is that serious and I also think that you might be overreacting." Thanks. The "best" line I have gotten is when people try to tell you what schools you have a chance of getting into without any knowledge of the field or program. Ex. "You'll probably get into UCLA, but you should definitely forget about Harvard. That's just a stretch."

I do the same thing! I occupy my time with checking my email millions of times a day, then I rest. Well, almost the same thing. lol

So glad to find you! Do you remember when you received the email that your app went for review? I got mine last Friday. The website says they give decisions within 4 weeks, but it seems like it's much sooner than that.

Seriously... I had someone ask me yesterday, " So, is applying to grad school hard or something?" Yeah..."or something." UGH
