This advice is right on. Layers, warm gloves, hat, scarf, and toasty boots. You WILL need a warm coat. Also, I would suggest that the items you purchase are for utility and not fashion. Nice looking thin gloves or scarves are not helpful at all. You will want to buy a scarf that is warm enough to use to cover your face if you end up walking around for a long time. Have a great time while you are here!

Congrats!!! Did your status change on their website when you received your decision? I've been checking the status of my app online and it gives me this line about how decisions are not made until March.

HUGS! You are too awesome not to succeed. My sister gave me a pep talk last week and it went a little something like this: When you first decided that you wanted to apply to grad school there was something in you that made you believe that you could do it. Your job is to NOT forget that reason. Just know that even if it's plan A ,B, or C, you WILL succeed.

I've heard that Berkeley takes it personally when you miss the "extra" E, but I can't say how they would feel if you spelled Berkeley as "Stanford." Habanero is right, the grad offices have been really awesome in my experience. So, it wouldn't hurt to try. If your app has already been sent out for review than I wish you luck. I also hope your Stanford essay does well at... Stanford. PS - Don't feel terrible. We all have SOP regrets. Just peruse the forums and maybe it'll ease your anxiety.

I think Higher Ed decisions come out a little sooner than other programs at Michigan. I'm excited that MA applicants are starting to get news. Congrats, again!

No news either. Just. Waiting. Sighhhhhh........ I think Eigen is right. You should prob know by mid-Feb if they have visits in March. And it's prob true that decisions are sent out in batches. You'll notice that in the results section too. If anything, try to connect with other GC-ers from programs that you are applying to and see if they have any info about decisions. Maybe they're also waiting? Good luck!
