Do you mean that you have been accepted for a poster presentation at a different conference (other than SPSP) and you want to, essentially, update your CV/application to that school?

All of the people I have talked to so far from my school interview invites asked if I was going to SPSP. They wanted to meet there and have a chat. I think that if you have been contacted and are already planning on going to SPSP, you should let your POI know. If you have not been contacted, then that might be a little weird, since most school will have already reviewed their applications by the time SPSP rolls around.

Nothing from UMD yet. They're supposed to have reviewed the applications this past week or next week (I forget which). I would anticipate a call next week.

Just got an interview from UVa (Feb. 9 - 11) and an acceptance from OSU. Apparently, OSU does not do interviews. If you get a call, you're in.
