@doctormelody same here. No email and anxiously waiting for the mail while checking the Agora portal every couple of hours  Maybe some folk get emails if they applied early or have incredible stats? Fingers crossed that the rest of us receive our letters soon and can finally know the decision BCSSW made so we can stop stressing. -_-

Yeah. I mean, I’m 99% sure I got rejected, but I would just like to know so I can stop thinking about it...

As my anxiety hits the roof.... Has anyone JUST received their acceptance letter in the mail without an email beforehand or noticing changes in their Agora portal??

^^ I would like to know this, also. Additionally, if anyone has been waitlisted and you could tell us the method of notification for that, that would be great.

Still nothing in the mail for me today, and they said they sent the decision out on Friday. I’m so so beyond frustrated. Lol.

Of course. I didn’t get an email or letter today. Just an update on portal saying I got in.

I haven’t received my actual acceptance letter in the mail yet. Which I was told would have my scholarship attached (if I received any). I have to give Simmons an answer by Monday. But it seems like I have already made up my mind to go to BC, even before getting the email. Just for so many reasons. So I think Im going to decline my offer at simmons, even though I haven’t seen my package at BC. Even if I don’t get get any scholarship- I’ll be part time so I wouldn’t be living in Boston (not having to get an apartment), which means I would only accept the amount of direct loans I really need to cover classes. My current job will help pay $500 per class (only 2 classes a semester). I feel like I would be okay, financially.

Am I making the wrong decision? I need some opinions

I mean, that sounds fine to me. Can you figure out how much total debt you would end up with?

No. But it is Good Friday so their office was closed   I’m sorry you still haven’t heard anything

Ah, that makes sense. I forgot about the whole Jesuit thing for a sec. And thank you. It’s driving me crazy but unless the letter’s been lost in the mail it’ll arrive eventually.

Since I’m part time- I would be charged $1,184 per credit. That’s about ~$77k, not considering if they will charge me any student fees.

Dang. That sounds pretty steep. And what would it be at Simmons? Also, what is your eventual goal with social work? You want to do clinical, I assume?

Simmons, after merit- $45k

Clinical as well! I eventually want to be a school social worker.

Hmm. Are you in a position to pay the deposit for Simmons and then see what BC offers you? I’ve heard that they’re usually pretty generous with their packages.

Update: got my acceptance letter in the mail, with the merit scholarship.

They pretty much gave me the same amount of scholarship as Simmons.

I am definitely going to commit to BC.
