Offer letters are available on the portal

Thanks for the heads up! Turns out I'm going to have to take an intro course in pop. epi, but at least I got an entrance scholarship!

Can someone please give me some insight about McGill's MScPH, UofT's MPH (Health Promo), McMaster MPH and Queen's MPH? I am having a very hard time making a decision. I am leaning towards McGill but I may be biased because I did my bachelor's there.

Have you already heard back from UofT's MPH (Health Promo)? I'm waiting on them before accepting SFU (deadline Friday)

Longtime lurker, first time poster ? I'm also in a similar boat! Waiting on UofT's offer to make a final decision about SFU but do you have any insight about how to decide between the two programs? From what I understand, both programs have a strong global health focus which is what I'm interested in but is one program known for being particularly harder than the other? I haven't been able find any info about this...

They told me 15th April. I wonder why things are being slowed down irrespective of the global health crisis (COVID-19).

I'm struggling to decide between the two as well! I am not sure about difficulty - my assumption would be that UofT is harder, if anything, but I think I'm just associating it with being prestigious, which I'm not even sure is relevant for an MPH lol. For me, I really like SFU's broad range of core courses, relative to specializing at UofT, and the emphasis on social justice. While I am pretty sure of my decision with the Health Promo route, I like the idea of taking a range of different courses. Also, price wise I think SFU is significantly cheaper and they offered a bit of a funding package which is nice!

Thanks for your opinion on this! Before hearing back from schools, I always thought I would lean more UofT than SFU because of the whole prestigious factor but I'm really trying to get over this thought process since what really matters is the content of the program! UofT is tempting because I wanted a change of scenery (did my undergrad at UBC and I'm a local) but the program is not drawing me as much as the city is at this point. I think I'll have to reach out to more current students/grads from the program to hear what they think but at the moment, I think I'm leaning more towards SFU.

I was accepted to the U of T MPH (Health Promo) earlier today! I thought I knew what I wanted to do but now I am as torn as ever haha. I think it's comforting to know that no matter what we decide it will be the right choice, and an incredible learning opportunity!

Congratulations on your acceptances!! I was just wondering where you were notified by UofT of your acceptance? Was it on the portal or personal email? :) thank you

Thank you so much! I was sent an email saying that a decision had been made and to check SGS, where it now says Decision Made and there is a decision document which is the acceptance letter!

Wow congratulations!! That's so amazing :) What a stressful way to make you find out though. My heart would have been beating so fast waiting to open that letter haha. Good luck with your decision between the programs! Like you said, I'm sure there's no wrong decision here. I haven't heard back from U of T yet so hopefully there's still a chance. I guess I just have to wait and see!
