I got reserve list (at least in the top 10 rank) in FOOD4S. We still have to wait for 1st week of May since this week is the final week for confirmation of those in the main list. Just hoping there will be someone who will turn down the offer. ?

Congratulations and Good luck! Have you applied to any other program?

Thank you! Yes. I’ve applied to another scholarship program that’s also hosted by the same university from FOOD4S. Their results will be published somewhere between May and June though.

Is there anyone who applied for the EMMIR programme? And for the ones that did: do you guys think it is competitive?

I did. I heard they sent emails yesterday. I have not received anything yet. Did you get anything??

Hello guys, I got accepted to the EMGS Program with the fee-waiver. It seems a nice opportunity in a very competitive program. I'm also in the reserve list but the chance is not that high. So if there is any EMGS student here I wanna have get in contact with. Thank you!

Congratulations, I didn't get it... You got the scholarship for the EMGS program, rite? So, what's that thing about being on a reserve list?

No, I didn't say I got the scholarship but had the chance of fee-waiver. Everything was clear, you should read word by word.

Wow, thanks for letting me know what should and should not do. Again, congratulations on your achievement!

I was accepted too. On the reserve list too.  Their email said I am in the first ranks and it's very promising based on last year. I'm not sure if I should get my hopes up or not. I will see how it goes. What does your email say?

Anyone else patiently (anxiously) waiting for the SARENA results? I haven't seen anyone talking about them anywhere even in the old threads. Last year the results were out by now and I know they said April/May but I was hoping that they would be out by now.

Hello everyone, does anyone have an information regarding ECT+? As of now, although some successful applicants have been notified already, the secretariat said that not all selected awardees have been informed yet. Nothing have been formally communicated yet about final decisions. If you know anything, kindly share.

It will be helpful to ease the agony of waiting whether to preemptively move-on (lol) or keep the faith of being selected. haha

Thank you!

What about the subject rankings?

Nah, even low on the subject (Humanities) -__-

Congratulations on your offers. It is true that "most" EM universities don't belong to the top 10 but these numbers don't equate to absolute experience of students (international) and faculty. We should acknowledge how toxic academia is most especially at this generation, hence, we should not only criticize them through quantitative values as some of the points might not be thoroughly captured. The same goes with our professors/instructors/researchers. Those who have numerous publications, titles, positions and whatnot may still have a lot to improve on with other invisible/unobserved criteria (e.g., teaching skills, EQ, etc.). Downplaying Erasmus Mundus universities solely because of academic rankings is an insult to the alumni, EU, and international partners who have played numerous roles for global change and development for years, even decades. Anyway, these are just my 2 cents. Wish you good luck in Norway!

yeah, I agree with you on most parts. They are all the same after all and honestly, if I didn't have a better option I'd go for Erasmus for sure. But I'm thinking about 2 years from now when I want to apply for a PhD and I have to explain to every institution where the hell did I graduated from : ))
Plus, one big disadvantage of Erasmus is that they never give you enough time to stay in one place, to explore it, live there, to make friends and truly settle. you are a journeyman for two years and don't have much time to build a life, or any connections. they throw 1K per month (which is hardly enough to live in a capital city like Lisbon or Brussel) and you are not allowed to work at all. They rarly give you any free time to pursue your own projects (for an art student) and constantly threaten you that if you don't act accordring to what they want, you are cut from the scholorship. In a way, they owe you for 1K per month. (at least in my programme)

But what do I know... hope you guys (and gals) end up where you love the most.

Hy everyone,

my query is for scholarship offer holders, after recieving the email about final scholarahip offer from EACEA, if someone not accept even after more then a week does it means he/she going to decline the offer or waiting for his own reasons? As i am next in line to get the scholarship and 2 offer holders yet to accept the offer even after passing 10 days? Please comment as scholars will understand it much better.

No, i am in reserve list and my rank is 1 . I am waiting for a drop out by atleast one student. I just wanted to know how much time the offer holders have to accept or decline the offer? Its been 3 weeks already. My coordinator told me that 2 students have not accepted the offer yet.

Hi. If your coordinator responded that way, that only means they need to get the confirmation/rejection from those 2 applicants first. I assume those 2 have not responded yet. The deadline depends per consortium/program. Based on the previous fora, some students were even notified as late as July or August. You should also consider what category (programme or partner country) and region do you belong. Hope this helps. Good luck!

Being on the reserved list for the two programs is already an achievement, trust me. If you have the opportunity, you may also want to start applying to jobs that are related to the EM programs you really want to pursue. Taking up courses will also improve your chances as the consortium will know you are serious about your future career path. Good luck!

In a shocking turn of events I was taken off the reserve list for the scholarship QUITE late (like....last week of May late) ???

Wanted to make this update to you (as thank you for your encouraging words :)) and also for anyone "high on the reserve list" in the future. I honestly was/am shocked with how late I was taken off of the list but it is indeed possible to get off of a reserve list for the scholarship, I am proof ^^. Good luck to all!

Last update: Was taken off EPOG's waitlist (but as a non-scholarship holder). Received the notification June 20th. Just again for those looking to apply to EPOG or GLOCAL, if you are waitlisted there's a chance you can get off as late as now. Goodluck to future readers and all on this thread who may be entering a program this fall or plan to apply again!
