bean1989, your GPA and GRE scores are quite good. I think you still have a really good chance of getting into graduate schools. Good luck!

Congrats on all the interviews, dhm! May I ask what departments at Berkeley and UCSF you heard back from?

Has anyone heard from Drexel biosciences, OSU integrated biomedical sciences or rochester microbiology yet?

A friend of mine that applied to OSU's IBGP heard via email yesterday afternoon. She had a 3.0 GPA, ~80% Q GRE, and recently published as second author on a first-tier journal publication. The email said they'd follow up via phone in the next few days.

thanks going2gradschool. I feel a little better now. I get all jumpy and excited whenever I get an email and I am always disappointed when it isn't a graduate school. Waiting is going to drive me insane.

Thanks for the kind words, I count myself pretty lucky.

Berkeley was MCB and UCSF was TETRAD.

I'm new to the forums and am still finding my way around. Anyone know if Stanford has issued interview invites yet? And is there an easy way to look something like that up on the forums?

bean1989 I agree with kgumps2012, you have fantastic stats. You'll do great!

@dhm0219: The toolbar up top right under the GradCafe banner has a tab "Results Survey". You can search by school and/or program to see whether anyone here has reported receiving interview invites yet. Since previous years' results are included, you can also get a good idea of when the school/program typically sends them out. :)

Hey! Has anyone heard from the Havard BBS Cancer Biology program? I know someone on the Neuro track heard back. I am freaking out because it's the 5th already and their website says that if you don't hear back from them by the 20th - basically you're rejected.

I'm in the same boat you are but staying optimistic because I haven't heard of ANYONE hearing back from Harvard who wasn't Neuroscience.

Is anyone else having problems checking the application status for Columbia Graduate School of Arts and Science? I submitted my application November 28th for the biological sciences PhD program and no updates yet.

Hi! I did the same for the Microbiology and Immunology program. I did not and still haven't gotten a confirmation or a tracking number to check the status of my application , but a POI did contact me last week with an interview invite. So I'm guessing they have an awful lot of apps to go through and will get back to you soon. Hope that helps!

Also, a question to anyone who received a call from Harvard's BPH program- may I know what track it was from? Although if there is only one recruitment weekend, I doubt I'll hear back now.

Actually a friend of mine who is applying to the Immunology PhD program of Harvard received an interview invite from them in mid-December.

I know a friend who also heard from Harvard Immuno. But I've only heard of results from Immuno and Neuro, no other departments, so I think there's no need to worry for everyone else.

I called Harvard BBS right before Christmas and they said they'd start sending emails out hopefully by January 13 and that no more invites will be sent after January 20. If anyone is wondering about MIT Biology, they emailed me back saying: "The faculty admissions committee is in the process of reading applications now. This continues until the first week of January when they will meet and make admissions decisions."

Just got an invite for an MIT Biology interview!

Me too! I'm super pumped!
