I just called them and they said "they will be mailed this week" and "have not yet been mailed". So... today or tomorrow.

Ugh, I wish that tweet had never been posted... (on Twitter that is; thanks to crackers for bringing it up)

I e-mailed SSHRC and they said letters are being mailed today. Results early to mid next week unless we hear directly from our universities first!

Eek! Thanks for e-mailing/posting, Anthrogal! Getting ready for the longest weekend... thank god I have a camping trip planned, so getting some forced distance from my mailbox.

Technically, it's a violation of SSHRC's non-disclosure policy until all the results are sent out or they are officially given a "go ahead."

My thought, exactly. It would have passed better if the letter had been in my mailbox this afternoon!

So York folks: I went to talk to the new scholarship officer at FGS (super friendly woman), but sadly, she refused to give me the results they have definitively received. She also said that no one had told her about emails, so sadly again, we probably shouldn't expect anything more than a letter in the mail next week. I guess that means I can sleep well for a few days now, right? <_<

Are you a direct applicant? I am, but am wondering if my results are also going to the school having accepted an offer there for social work pHd (I am pretty sure that's what I said I intended to do in my application too).

@yellowsweatygorilla: no, I did my Master's at York. I would tend to think that direct applicants won't have their information forwarded to their new school until they confirm where they'll take up the award... just like York must have my information, even though I wouldn't be taking up the award there (I'm going stateside next September). So I think that only SSHRC knows about your result, if that makes sense. Might be wrong, though: informed speculation is now my favourite past-time. [Congrats on the acceptance, by the way!]

Just taking a quick look at it, it appears they are all MA students...? That might be why they are being so open with it.

It's graduating students. So they could have had SSHRC/OGS over the course of their studies and are moving on.

how come SSHRC results don't show up in the results section of thegradcafe. NSF does. People just don't bother to post their results?

Glad you have something to distract you lackingpatience! It's going to be a long, slow weekend for me I'm sure :(

Hi Crackers,

I was on the forum last year and as people began to receive their letters they continued posting to share with others. Hope to see good news for all of you (and me too :) ) showing up here next week!

Naively hoped to receive the letter today... Thankfully (?), the postal worker did his run three hours ahead of his regular schedule, so I'm now somewhat at peace for the weekend

lucky duck! our mail woman doesn't come around until 3p. though, I live on the outskirts of toronto so if you didn't get it, I probably won't either

Good to know, I am waiting for the mail to be delivered here (in Montreal) to see if anything shows up. Highly doubt it but that tiny sliver of a possibility is still there! Also, if there are any other fellow Quebeckers/Québécois(e) on here, we should know about FRQSC next week as well...

Oh, when I think about the fact that the scholarship officer at York was actually working on the results list when I dropped by her desk yesterday...

I have to go away for a presentation on Wednesday of next week. So you know how this is going to work out right? Everyone will be getting their letters on Wednesday and I will be a nervous wreck because I won't be able to check my mail until the 30th
