tomorrows verse Posted February 16, 2010 Posted February 16, 2010 I guess the Penn mass email means I'm 0/3. This is getting depressing.

waitingwally Posted February 16, 2010 Posted February 16, 2010 Claiming Princeton. E-mail from DGS. Full funding and summers for 5 years.
slider5 Posted February 16, 2010 Posted February 16, 2010 I also got into Princeton, full funding. I applied to the political economy program, though there was no mention of this in the (mass) email. Should I be concerned?
CrimsonBlue Posted February 16, 2010 Posted February 16, 2010 Wow. Congratulations to Princeton people!
fromark17 Posted February 16, 2010 Posted February 16, 2010 Congrats to all those who got into Princeton! Can we assume that the people who didn't get emailed aren't in? Did you receive mass or personalized emails?
thatsnotmyname Posted February 16, 2010 Posted February 16, 2010 In at Penn!!! I can hardly believe it Full funding information forthcoming.
SuddenlyParanoid Posted February 16, 2010 Posted February 16, 2010 Congrats to all those who got into Princeton! Can we assume that the people who didn't get emailed aren't in? Did you receive mass or personalized emails? Mass email, just personalized by name.
Ziz Posted February 16, 2010 Posted February 16, 2010 Congratulations to Princeton people! I'm assuming I'm out because I didn't get the email...what were the subfields of those accepted?
ladedodaday Posted February 16, 2010 Posted February 16, 2010 Congratulations to Princeton people! I'm assuming I'm out because I didn't get the email...what were the subfields of those accepted? Comparative!
backstreets Posted February 16, 2010 Posted February 16, 2010 maybe i'm being too optimistic, but i've got a feeling that penn is staggering its decisions. i talked with the department yesterday and they said they added something to my file that afternoon. i don't think they'd have done that if they could tell i'm on the "no" list... fingers crossed!

Have any theory people been accepted to Princeton?
Ziz Posted February 16, 2010 Posted February 16, 2010 Have any theory people been accepted to Princeton? Hehe exactly what I want to know.

I'm playing this game as well. If I get only bad news over the next few days I might just have to disappear into the mountains for a few days, I'm wearing pretty thin.
brewski Posted February 16, 2010 Posted February 16, 2010 Hehe exactly what I want to know. I know, I was thinking of you Ziz when I was writing that. Here's to us theory peeps!

Ziz Posted February 16, 2010 Posted February 16, 2010 I know, I was thinking of you Ziz when I was writing that. Here's to us theory peeps! Lol my mom was the one who said "but maybe they're doing it by subfield." I doubt it, because last year they sent out all acceptances on the same day and rejects the next.

It's no rejection until you get the letter.

I hope so! i just don't see the point of updating records if you know you're not going to consider someone further. i work at a university, and we don't have that much time on our hands, haha. maybe they admit the sure things first and then haggle a little longer over the maybes. i'm not totally panicky since i'm in with funding at texas and uva, and texas is perfect for public law, but it would be nice to have the extra option...
TheJollyWag Posted February 16, 2010 Posted February 16, 2010 Congrats to the Princeton admits. What a staggering achievement!
