I know I am not alone. But it doesn't make anything better. I hope each one of us gets into someplace.

Hang in there man,you will end up with an admit eventually. I got my first reject yesterday, more to follow in a while.I'm sure everything will work out for the good, All's well that ends well :)

I am in the EXACT same boat. Applied to 10 and have been rejected by 4 (which I have only heard from 4). I don't like telling people because my professors had such faith in me I feel like I am disapointing people, I haven't even told my parents and I recently started devising a plan B.

yes. That's what I feel. All I have done so far is nothing but disappointing them. I also started working on plan B. But some places require references again. This is a difficult situation.

I applied to 5 schools and have been rejected by 1. Now, I'm wondering if I didn't apply to enough schools. Now, that I am hearing about people applying to 10 or 12 schools and getting 4 rejects in a row. If I get 4 rejects, I'm out of the game.

I really don't want to spend the next year as adjunct faculty. <_<

I applied to 6 schools only, and I've been thinking the same thing as you (whether I've applied to too few schools). :(
