One of my tutors recommended the programme and I made contact with the Graduate Coordinator: "Your profile fits very well with our doctoral program and I would encourage you to apply as quickly as possible. We have rolling admissions but I am afraid you are a bit late for Fall 2013 admission. However, I would still like you to try and send your application package soon. Our website will provide you with all the information you need and the application blanks. You will need to download the graduate college apps from the graduate college website and provide all the necessary documents required in the appl. form as well as GRE scores. You do not need to submit TOEFL scores. You may download the graduate assistantship from the school of media and communication website and send it in with your letter of intent and three reference letters. All the documents should go in one package directly to the office of international services on bgsu campus. Contact me if you have questions. Best," and a POI: "We have come overlapping, common interests, so I'll be looking forward to hearing further from you. Take Care" I fit into this programme and am intrigued by some of the faculty whose interests I share...does anyone have any further info on the programme they would be willing to share?

AS a soon to be graduate of Leicester's programme, I can tell you that it is an intense essay driven programme that gives you one of the best regarded MA in Mass Communication in the UK. They hold a course conference every year for you to meet other students attend workshops and the like. PM me if you need any more

I wrote a statement for the Critical Theory Cluster. I basically answered the questions as lefils did and when asked what I would bring to the cluster I played up my diversity - West Indian educated in the UK. Don't know how much good it will do...
