Thanks for keeping it Real! :)
I actually got a sweatshirt for Christmas! I truly believe there is power in positive thinking! Hoping I can wear it in my pic to celebrate my acceptance!
Yes, it's such an experience! Only those going through it can understand! I think the group on here would make a great cohort #4! Don't know much about our backgrounds, but I know our locations are diverse! (New York, Florida, Chicago, LA, Mass)...) I do know they strive for a good mix! Hope this helps us!
Got an Email ( in my spam, no less- and yes, I'm checking my spam-don't judge me ), from dream school's store with a 10%discount to buy school apparel for my a valentine! Good sign?
So prayerful! About a 1% chance, but you've got to be in it to win it! And WE all are in it! I really hope to meet you all in person at the end of the month! :) :)
Ohmysocks,
Never apologize for ranting on a thread about losing your mind! I'm praying for you! Every feeling you have is natural for you. Be thankful you didn't realize it NEXT week AFTER final decisions were made! #silverlining
Based on the past years it should be this week or next. The steering committee (not sure if the make the decisions) is meeting on Monday. I found that on the calendar awhile ago, but can't seem to locate it now! Ugh! Who knows they could be discussing Cohort 1 graduation, but due to the timing, I believe it's related!
As a big fan of Gilmore Girls AND SNL (thanks for the Debbie Downer vid), I would say that hopefully the fact that we're all applying to grad school means we have a good bit of intelligence and common sense. We have to know that there is a possibility of not getting in and having another plan ready for that outcome. However, in the meantime Dream Big and Pray Hard! It is, after all, something we want badly or we wouldn't have subjected ourselves to writing SOPs, bothering LORs, or taking the dreaded GRE (let's not mention all the costs)! Think positive! Here's to believing that we will all get what we expect!
