Good Sign, Omen or Hallucination - All Are Welcome!

I did not mean to vote your post down, my tablet slipped out of my hands! Thanks so much! -
My hubby of 7 years and I don't see uprooting the entire family, selling the house and moving 20 hours away for a one year program. That is one reason I plan to live on campus...no need to nest! Plus, when else will I get an opportunity to fully immerse myself into personal and professional development? I am so excited I could burst! My super hubby is a very capable single dad and I know my girls are going to have such a better relationship with him for it! Anyone have creative ways for staying close with the kids as well as hubby? Frequent travel is NOT an option! (Obviously calls and webcam...) anything else?

Is anyone else's new favorite color Crimson?

That is my feeling exactly! I'm coming alone (didn't seem logical to uproot my family for 10 months) so I can suffer through dorm life. I want to immerse myself into this opportunity fully. Must include food! Location and convenience! I'm all for it! I, too, have state testing. I, also, can't tell my school family (teachers, students, parents) yet as it will cause too much drama. I'm going to wait until after. It's been so hard being so proud and excited and not being able to share freely! Can't wait to meet you!

CQE is there a current student you can stay with?

From the housing site: Cronkhite is Harvard University Housing’s most cost-effective living option because residence hall units are less expensive than apartments and contracts run only for the academic year. Please note that a meal plan is mandatory for all Cronkhite residents.

I applied for housing...just think for 9 months it won't kill me and will be the most convenient!

I will probably try again!

I got a HGSE sweatshirt for Christmas! Gonna use it when I do my "official" notice! It's killing me that I can't celebrate publicly yet!

Ok, just had to share this "omen" of sorts...got accepted to HGSE!! ( that's not the omen). They issue you a Harvard ID number....it is all "sets" numbers that have direct meaning for me! I already have it memorized! -
I am so sorry to hear that. Here's to hoping he sees the Return on Investment soon and give you the support you need!

Not a native, but came for Grad School and never left! Town made up of 3 layers, Government, Education, and locals. Very family friendly. There are some nice areas close to FSU, but try to stay north of Tharpe street to stay away from undergrads. More affluence way north and way east. Job Market is average... Love it here!

If at first you don't succeed...

Well, looks like I need to consider it...just found out I was accepted into EdM!!!! (It was in my spam folder) Special studies so I get to create my own program!! I was so disappointed when I didn't get an invite for EDLD, but my joy right now in uncontainable! Thank you all for being there through this arduous process!

Congrats to the one GCer who got into the program and posted in the results search! I wish they would have posted here as well!
